Validate fit with the vendor before ordering!
Save yourself & the vendor time / effort by making sure this will fir before you order, The vendor is very responsive. I ordered another one from a different vendor & it did not work out. This one fit perfect. It is a good quality, difficult to find, standard item.

Almost perfect replacement.
Older LED strings for decoration have this style of power supply on one end. This unit worked nicely but the screw did not mate with the cap on the string.

Unable to use, but was my fault
Bought this to try and soften the led christmas fixture that was on the bright side in the house. The original power supply is 12vdc out, thought if I lowered the voltage it would "dim" the fixture. Was wrong, it appears that leds have acertain voltage threshold to function and 6 volts was too low to overcome this threshold.I looked for a 9vdc compatible power supply in the necessary configuration for my fixture, but have been unable to find one. This style of power supply has become the working unit for alot of Christmas fixtures out now. You have to be sure that the output end of unit is able to accept your "plug" going out to fixture.
