For all those interested in learning more about texts you can find in the Bible, this book is a good guide.Even though it is more oriented toward the New Testament than the Old One (which is more interesting, in my opinion), it is still worth reading because it gives plenty of advice on how to read with understanding, having in mind the period in which is the text in question is written, who is the author, what was the current political or personal situation in which (or because of which) the text is written at all.The Bible is not written at once, nor does it have only one author, and if you want to understand why its content varies so much, the best way is to learn how it is written.

This book discusses the different ways you can study the Bible. From very easy and simple to very detailed views. You choose which method works for you. There are alot of useful tips in how to approach studying the Bible as well.He discusses having discipline and forming daily habits of study. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is planning on studying the Bible and doesn't know how or where to start.

Very helpful, even a bit overwhelming at times, but the detail assists with understanding the processes. It's especially helpful that there is more than one way suggested and outlined, along with additional resources to explore.

What I liked is how many options we have in studying the bible.I would recommend this to all Christians members and new believers from any and all congregations.I gave 5 stars because of the different methods and ways of studying the bible, which can help many different Christians in various ways.

Needed for a class I took. This book broke down everything I needed to know. Easy to ready and understand.

the author lays out different approaches to seek God and meaning. had trouble studying the Bible but not no more. not one way is better than the others. everything is with intention as the author states.

As a beginner in reading the bible, I was searching for a tool in different ways to study the bible after reading a few of the books and noticing similar themes. I enjoyed annotating this book and begin trying the different methods as I continue reading the bible.
