Premium Saltine Crackers, (Original, 16-Ounce Box)

I have to agree with the other 1 star reviews. As I sat here eating a few from a freshly opened box after not having had any for quite a while, the taste seemed SOOO bland and the crackers so... ??insubstantial?? ... that I decided to Google:"premium saltine crackers" changedand Whew! Evidently I am NOT alone in remembering them as being FAR better than they are today. Part of it seems to just be a reduction in salt, but part of it has to do with the integrity of the cracker under pressure (as when you're spreading something on one), and the "baking/toasting" of them: I remember crisp, slightly darker/tanner "bubbles" on the surface of the old crackers. The new ones seem to try to emulate that feature, but the bubbles are "fake" -- they're simply colorations without the fragile texture.If the change was made for "health" reasons, they *SHOULD* have offered a new "healthy" variety while retaining the old variety for us extreme-risk-takers who occasionally like to live on the wild side.- MJM

Most of these crackers were stale, tasteless and crumbling. It seems that these crackers were made using a low grade flour or an inferior baking process. Amazon needs to look into this issue and choose a different vendor.

Stale, out-of-date product that tastes horrible. Started eating them and noticed the stale flavor right away. Checked the box's expiry date and it's this week. Extremely disappointed to buy from a company that sells expired products.

These crackers never disappoint.

I love Premium saltines above all other crackers. But if you like soda crackers as much as I do, you also know that they are only good when they are fresh. These were delivered crispy and fresh...better than those I get at the grocery store.

crackers came today ,the cracker box had been opened and taped shut again.the crackers where all broken up in the sleeves.not real happy about this item.would never order again.

I live in Ireland and I just don't like their crackers, after growing up with Saltines nothing else will do. I order these and I will pay the price because to me they are priceless. Love them and the vendor is absolutely great, these came within days of ordering and I am so grateful. Love my Saltines.
