Excellent mood lighting
I have Hue bulbs throughout my house and I couldn’t be happier with them. These white ambience and color bulbs are great for using in my table lamps and sconces. They give off plenty of light and Philips has tons of light recipes to choose from in their app so you can set the mood according to how you feel. You can also create your own light setting. These light will work with Bluetooth or for a full slate of settings you can connect them with the Hue bridge. If you are going to use more than 10 lights then you must use the bridge. I love these lights and highly recommend them. They aren’t cheap but they are worth it especially if you are just starting out with smart lighting as no other company offers you the quality and variety of lights that Philips does. If you use Apple HomeKit these work great. They also connect to Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. I personally prefer the security and the user interface of Apple but I have tried it with Alexa as well and was happy with the results. You can’t go wrong with these lights. They work great straight out of the box. Setup is a breeze and you can start using them within minutes. I like that I can program them to turn on when it senses me coming up the driveway so I never have to enter a dark house. You can also set them to turn on and off according to whatever schedule you want. They are truly amazing. Once you buy one you will want more and more of them.

Some Of The Best Smart Bulbs On The Market!
Ever since I went to a large electronics retail store near me to get something totally different than these bulbs and saw the Philips Hue demonstrated in concert with what I was looking for, I was hooked on them. I have them throughout my home and have them in my office at work. I have about 30 of them in my house and 10 of them in my office. To say the least, I am more than satisfied with the Philips Hue products. Now the review…Philips have been making bulbs for many years and then when they broke into the industry of smart wifi bulbs, they became quite the hit. Pair the hue bulbs with the Hue Bridge and the app, one’s creative side can really shine. The Build Quality. These bulbs have a little heft to them whereas there is a lot of technology that needs to be crammed into a space the size … well the size of a light bulb. The build quality in my opinion is pretty solid and done well. The illumination part diffuses the LEDs used in these bulbs are very smooth and do not see any hot spots whatsoever from the LEDS inside. The colors produced from the RGB LEDS are pretty rich and vibrant but as in every RGB style bulb, the light output will vary from color to color and different white temperatures. Case in point. If you choose the bulbs to light up in blue, the overall Lumens factor will be less than if you choose to use Yellow or other bright colors of the spectrum. But if you go with the white ambiance aspect, the whites will pretty much be equal in Lumens factor from the lower temperature like 2700K to the higher temperatures like 6500k.Features.These bulbs are full of them when you connect them with the Hue bridge. You can have them turn on and off with the use of Google Home, Assistant or Alexa. You can turn them on or off with the use of the user-friendly app and even turn them on or off when you are out and about as long as you have the app connected to the cloud server set up within your smart home. You can set up various different scenes as long as you have multiple Hue Bulbs. Scenes really don’t look great or seems simplistic if you have just one bulb. To get the best results, I recommend 5 or more of the Hue Bulbs in a room to get the different color scenes to show off well. (Refer to the bedroom pic I posted with this review.)The latest versions of the Hue Bulbs can be operated via Bluetooth on the dedicated Bluetooth version of the Hue app. So, with bulbs having the Bluetooth technology, you do not need to have the Hue Bridge. The downside to that is you will not be able to set up multiple rooms and you can only control 10 Hue Bulbs via Bluetooth vs. up to 50 Hue Bulbs with using the Hue Bridge. If there is anything that would be considered a downfall to these bulbs, is they are a bit on the pricy side. I have a few thousand dollars invested in my Hue Echo System and love everything about these bulbs. That would be the only flaw I can find with them. The Recap. These are some of the top of the line of smart bulbs. Can you find cheaper bulbs as far as costs is concerned? Yes, you can. But the saying goes, “You get what you pay for.” And that holds true with these bulbs. If you are willing to invest into the Hue System, you won’t be disappointed.

I love my Hue lights!
I've been using Hue bulbs for probably about 8 years, and due to the cost, I have slowly added more over time until nearly every bulb in my house is a Hue bulb.Longevity is great; I've yet to have a single one stop working.Colors are also great, the only color I've found that it doesn't do exceedingly well is purple. The app has always lacked features like customizable animations that other bulbs and apps have. However, the bulbs will work with a lot of other apps. Philips is starting to catch up, though. They've started adding animations, but the color is the only customizable thing. The sync feature is also really cool. You can sync each bulb to an area of your screen. You'll need to buy the expensive sync box for a regular TV, but I use a PC with a projector in my living room, so I only needed to download the free Windows app on my PC. The lights can also be set to customizable routines within the app, which is handy. I have my porch light set to come on at sunset and turn off at sunrise.

Phillips is STILL the best smart bulb
I tried other bulbs due to lower prices but I always had issues with either the bulbs hardware breaking or the app disconnecting/issues. Phillips hue bulbs ALWAYS work. I have some super old ones and they are still going strong. I never have to mess around with the app like I did with Sylvanias. The Sylvania bulbs (which I thought were a bargain) have been back in the box on a shelf for a year. WHen they would lose connection, they flashed colors. It was like a disco I couldn't turn off! Lol...pay the bit extra for the Hue bulbs...they're well worth it.

They worked very well.
It was very easy to install them and luckily, I had a step-by-step guide on how to pair them with my Amazon devices(please note this only works if you possess an Amazon echo show second generation or higher) I chose the dimmable ones because they add to the mood and also sometimes you don’t need a bright light when watching TV, but you do need enough light so that it doesn’t hurt your eyes. It was very responsive and the ability to time when they turn off is very helpful
