Sockwell Women's Incline Quarter Moderate Compression Sock

I bought these Dec. 31, 2016, and they are still going strong in 2021! I did West Coast Swing dancing A LOT before the pandemic, and these were some of my favorite socks for dancing because they have a little arch support and padding. They stay in place and are comfy. I also wear these socks geocaching and hiking, as well as around town. I probably wear them at least once a week from April through October to give you an idea of durability. (I wear knee-highs in colder months.) I machine wash with warm water. I always line dry my socks, which helps them last longer. I wear a size 8.5 shoe and ordered M/L, and they fit great.

Exactly what I needed! After returning to work in an office setting after working from home, my ankles began to swell. In addition to trying to get up from my desk and move around more I needed something to combat the end of day swelling. These are perfect. They look like regular socks but immediately relieve the swelling. After just a few hours my ankles are back to normal the the discomfort is gone. I will keep these at home but I have ordered another pair to keep at work.

I have poor circulation due to weight gain when I was pregnant with my 2 children. Jump forward 20 years and now my doctor has told me I have Venous Insufficiency and the valves in my leg veins do not work properly. I was sentenced to wear compression hose, which as anyone knows, are UGLY, not to mention they don't hold up well. If you are active, then you have to wear regular socks over the hose in order to wear athletic shoes, what a pain. Enter Sockwell socks. They give the doctor-recommended amount of compression, are stylish (look like regular socks), are easier to put on than the hose and last longer. Just be sure to wash in cold water and hang to dry. Worth every penny and usually cost less than the nylon knee-his. This model has light cushioning on the bottom of the foot but I wish they were a little more cushioned. If you have never bought this brand and are considering sizing, I wear an 8 1/2 Narrow shoe. According to Sockwell's size chart I should be a Large but for me the Small/Medium are a perfect fit. How they feel: GREAT!!!!! I normally have to put my feet up intermittently throughout the day for 30 minutes at a time to control the swelling if i am not wearing these socks and now I can go about my normal activities without worrying about swelling or circulation. Since Sockwell currently does not make cotton socks, I like this model in hot weather or for wearing with shorts. I was worried that I would not get enough compression since these don't come up to my knee but I was pleasantly surprised. The socks kept the swelling down just as much as the knee-his. They come up just above the ankle on me, true to the stock photo, which makes them perfect for wearing with mid-rise hiking boots. Try them for yourself and see - all the great reviews are true!

Looks really good quality. I wear 7.5 women shoes and medium fits well. Not sure, though, that compression is a great thing in quarter socks.... It feels great on the foot when running, but upper band cuts into my ankles bit too much (and I have thin ankles), so it becomes bothersome after a while. I wouldn't wear them whole day, or on a long plane travel, but as running socks they work for me. Next time I'll try "no show", it might be better for me.

I've never worn compression socks before so was unfamiliar with how to go about ordering them. Thanks to other reviews on Amazon I got a great pair if socks that fit great and are comfortable. My ankles swell in the Summer heat and these are perfect and work wonderfully. Just the right amount of compression and they never feel to tight. Best thing is, my ankles don't swell. They are a little pricey, but worth every penny.

I love these socks. They are high quality and very comfortable. My feet, that often hurt, are so much better when I wear them. I even wear them to bed quite often. They are tight where needed but spacious in the toes. These are the best!

These socks are not the type of compression socks that you would use for long hikes or airplane travel. But that said these are great socks to wear any time of the year for a little compression and the warmth that the wool provides. I am a fan of the full compression socks by Sockwell.

I love these socks! I purchased them for running. Over the past month I have been getting back into running after taking time off for an ankle injury. Before this I typically would wear any cheapo sports sock I could find. Since coming back from an injury I decided to treat my feet and ankles to something special and get these socks. Wow! What a difference they make compared regular generic socks. I have never felt this way about socks before. My friends are sick of me talking about how great they are but I just can't stop (so I decided to write a review here). I bought one pair originally but have since bought two more. They keep my feet warm in the January weather but are nice and breathable. Just perfect! 5/5 stars!I wear a women's 8.5/9 shoe size and ordered the Small/Medium size. They are snug but don't suffocate my feet.

These provide a comfortable light compression. There is more compression around the mid foot and arch, less everywhere else. For during the day I prefer more compression not just in this area, but also up the achillese and ankle (so have purchased another style of Sockwell, and gave only 4 stars). I do LOVE these for sleeping though, have been wearing them every night.I wear a size 8.5 shoe and got the sm/med and it fits well.
