Can this be used to check and charge freon or it's just for vacuum?

This tool is not used to check pressure on either side of unit ..the ports where the pressure is checked by the use of the gauges have a valve there ..this tool is used to replace the valves with out evacuating the system and loosing the charge .this tool simply allows a replacement of those valves
