I generally purchase lower priced cables finding no real difference in quality. However, in this case, quality is both evident and worth the price. I have had noise problems with connections between my laptop and my external DAC. The last cable purchased only a few years ago died last week. Just stopped working. A replacement cable purchased from Amazon had to returned because of some kind of electrical mismatch causing crackling. This SKW cable was a hit from the very beginning. Packaged well. Very tight connections at both ends when attached. Absolutely silent until the music started playing. And, it could be my imagination, but the music sounded better than the old cable. So I am a happy buyer.

This cable looks amazing and works well for my needs. Good quality cable that looks overbuilt for what you pay.

I had been using a normal (e.g. cheap) usb cable to connect my computer to external DAC / headphone amplifier but needed longer length cable and found this. I definitely noticed a significant improvement on sound quality, which I did not expect for digital signal. Unquestionably worth it!

GOOD QUALITY

I bought the cable to connect my computer to the audio DAC as a back up source for my rig. It sounds fine. I had to remind myself that ITunes no longer supports loss less on my computer’s music files..

First off , a little background in into my own current audio setup , approx. $14k invested in bookshelf speakers , amp , dac and cables. Never did I think that a $40 usb cable squeeze a 3% - 5% improvement in overall sound quality. The SKW did it and actually still amazed at a cable at this price point can do so much. Ok, so real improvement came in increased clarity yet never turning overly sterile, analytical and never falling foul to the harshness evident in high end usb cables. With this SKW cable , there is not a trace of listener fatigue. Organic sound quality seems better enhanced with this usb cable than with another cable bought for comparison purposes , costing 5x that of the SKW cable. Soundstage in all 3 areas has gotten a boost with this usb cable. Nicely balanced across the freq band, nothing gives that sense of being overdone or seems off. All in all, this cable gets a strong buy recommendation from me.

My audio stopped working, and it turned out my usb cable died on me. Had been using the magnetically shielded cable that came with my Kanto YU2s for years and was looking for something of slightly better quality, and I guess I was feeling like I could splurge on a more expensive cord. Is this cord higher quality than other cords? I guess so. It’s definitely much thicker than my other cords. Do you need a fancy expensive cord to make your audio better? No, probably not. It sounds exactly the same as every other cord I’ve used. But it does look really nice with my desk setup, and I would expect this cord will last a lifetime with how much thicker it is than every other usb cable I’ve owned. If you got the money, and you want to plug in something expensive without lowering the property values with a normal cord, this is the usb cable for you.

I’m writing this review to help others decide if skw cables are for them. First I need to give some info about my room and system in order to explain my goal. My room is located in a basement which sounds slightly dampened and laidback. If I put a speaker in that room that is also laid back(Buchardt S400)or smooth sounding it makes it even darker sounding and I keep craving little more liveliness or snappiness. I upgraded to Buchardt S400 MK2 and It improved my experience greatly. I use Parasound New classic 200 integrated amp and Topping D90SE dac. I stream music using Amazon music hd via usb dongle and usb cable. I first ordered skw usb cable and rca interconnects (cheaper version). After couple of days listening, I noticed that I was getting little more details ,snap and punch. Detail retrieval at low volume improved and my urge to crank up the volume subdued. Before SKW, I was using some DIY interconnects using pro grade cables and some generic usb cable. One review mentioned that skw cables sounded harsh. And I could see that happening if one all ready has edgy sounding system and adds those cables to the mix. But if you are like me and find your system to be laidback/smooth and want to reduce that effect and bring little zing to instruments, than definitely give skw a try. I highly recommend giving skw usb cable and interconnects try first. Than other cables if it’s your cup of tea. I liked skw usb cable so much that I also ordered 2 power cables and speaker cables. I’m not sure how much more improvement I am getting in my system by adding skw power cables and speaker cables. I would have to do much more extensive listening and comparison. However, I am satisfied with my purchase and will keep skw in my system.

Ist ein gutes Kabel, war mir im Endeffekt doch etwss zu teuer da habe ich es zurückgeschickt und habe auch etwas gewint als ich es verpackte und zur Post gebracht habe.

Good fit for computer to external DAC. No need for anything pricier.
