FantastiCAR Folding Box Cutter, Utility Knife with Extra 5 Blades (Purple)

I LOVE these utility knives! I have bought 4 of them in different colors. I keep one in my office, basement, kitchen and garage. They are so much easier (and safer) to use than the old retractable utility knives. Those always collapse on me during use. These fold up (the safety part) and open solidly without any slippage (that's the easier part). They're made with obvious quality with a good weight to them. They come with extra blades, which is nice. They also come nicely presented, ready for gifting. The colors are vivid and gorgeous. The price is reasonable - totally worth it! I can't say enough about how wonderful these are. Just hit the 'Buy Now' button already! You won't be disappointed.

I bought this for a friend who lost her utility knife and needed something. I was expecting something as a placeholder until she found the one she liked. Well, she loves this! It came in a box a few time the size of the knife. I had to look at the label to see it was the knife. Opened that up to slide out a nice box. Perfect for gifting. The actual knife was nestled in this pink box. The immediate reaction was “cooool”. The color is true to the description, a nice lavender/purple. It doesn’t feel like it is painted or something that is cheaply done. The knife is smaller and lighter than the typical hardware store ones. The hinge and blade release open/close smoothly, and yet aren’t loose/unsafe. Unlike the common utility knives, it’s much easier to open and close for those of us with weaker or arthritic hands The size is perfect for a smaller, slender hand. But it has the same quality as Stanley, Klein, or WorkPro. I like it so much that as soon as I finish this review I’m ordering myself one, in a different color. I had two dilemmas--one, I needed my very own utility knife because I was tired of my son complaining every time I asked to borrow his, and tired of defending myself to my husband when he would tell me, "You don't need a knife. Just rip it open. Like this." Two, I needed it to be obvious that this knife belonged to me. The aforementioned husband is constantly rifling through MY little tool drawer and claiming, "This is mine!" when it isn't. This knife is PERFECT. I didn't know you could love a utility knife, but I do. While it is just as pretty as it looks in the picture, it is much sturdier than I anticipated. It feels so good in my hand--it is sleek, smooth, and contoured just right. So far, I have used it on boxes, bags of mulch, and thick landscaping fabric. It is really sharp. This may sound absolutely ridiculous, but it makes me so happy!! It comes in a very nice box along with replacement blades. I made a HUGE production of showing it off to my husband and reinforcing that there is NO WAY he could EVER claim this for his own. However, I wait for his memory to fail, as it always does. (BTW, I was neither paid or offered anything for this review. I paid normal price. I just REALLY love it.)

I use these to cut into garden soil and mulch bags as well as packages. They are wonderful and the bonus being a pink color is so my husband doesn’t walk off with my knives!

supa supa cute & functional . i love the packaging , came in this pink box & the actual product came with a blade alrd locked in , extra blades & a knife cover . i like the clip so i can just hook it on my pocket . i can run around all day and it still be secure . the blade is pretty sharp & i use this about everyday for daily hvac stuff like cutting insulation on suction lines , opening filter boxes and other miscellaneous things . i definitely recommend . super cute & easy to use . i will say the button to pop the blade out makes it a TEENY bit difficult to open , other than that perfect price for this product !

First impression, manufacturing/packaging processes can use some improvements. 1) Foam insert cutout for the box cutter was to small. So, when I opened the box, the box cutter was floating around free just on top of the foam. If the box gets damaged during shipping (the box is very sturdy) there's a chance it could get damaged. The manufacturer needs to make the cutout be a bit larger for the box cuter to fit inside and snug enough for it not to come out easily. 2) You can see from the pictures I attached many imperfections. The stains (yellow or orange in color) I was able to wipe off easily with a wet wipe. But you can also see many scratches. The scratches didn't come off. That appeared to occur due to mishandling during the packaging or assembly process. The chipped surfaces are painted over, so it's safe to assume this happened during part fabrication and painted over during manufacturing. I personally don't care too much about those scratches. They are barely visible and you really have to hold it on a certain angle to see them. The integrity of the tool is not compromised in any way. All these imperfections were on the handle. The blades, the blade assembly/bracket is all fine. I inspected all thoroughly. But, I'm saying all this because, some of you might care about these things. To put our another way, when I first opened the box, I thought I got an used item packaged poorly and got a bad first impression. But, upon close examination, it wasn't as bad as I initially thought. I knocked it down one star simply because of the things I already mentioned. That said, it's a fully-functional item that I recommend you purchase if you're like me and don't care much about cosmetic issues in a TOOL that most likely it's going to get beat up from the moment you start using it. BUT, for you manufacturer/distributor, if you read this review, consider improving your processes. It should not take much to make these improvements.

I have purchased a few of these, as they are used on average 2hrs a day. They have each lasted for quite a while until the wear-and-tear just exceeds its ability to maintain itself. After a brief period, it loosens enough to be able to click open easily - something I like! Easy to remove/insert a blade. I attached a short rubber cord to the loop and other end clip to my pants, so I never drop/lose it. Overall... no complaints!

Had it for three years works great now I am in need of a replacement screw for the blade

Comes with another blade and a very cute box but it is in my opinion overly priced but overall it’s amazing I use it every day for work
