This stuff works!
Fast and easy to use. I can't say it's the nicest thing to look at, but neither was the hole in our back screened in porch. We really needed it mended. A squirrel originally chewed it's way in to get at our dog's food/water. We only keep water out there now. Squirrel finally stopped coming, but then a bird discovered the hole and kept trying to build a nest on our shelves inside the porch. Fought that bird all summer. Ended up using cardboard and magnets stuck to inside and outside of the screen. But that was not a long term solution and not weather friendly. Found this product and did 3 rows to cover the the hole. The adhesive melted within seconds with the blow-dryer. Was prepared for a grueling task, but was easy and done in 5 minutes. We used two people. One on the outside of the porch with the blow-dryer and tape and the other on the inside of the porch with a cardboard box to be pressed against. I was worried it would stick to the box too, but it didn't. I wish I had thought to take a "before" picture, so could have shared.

So far, so good
I've repaired about 10 holes in screen over a month ago and so far they haven't fallen off. It definitely works better if you can remove the screen so you can have pressure on both sides, but one time I did a patch where I couldn't and it worked, but was a bit trickier because to hold the patch on the screen you have to touch it and then of course the adhesive sticks to your finger and wants to pull off when you remove your finger. It's easy enough to get the hang of though. My best technique is to hold a corner with your finger and then use the hair dryer nozzle to press the patch onto the screen. Since the dryer is right there the adhesive is melted well and when you remove the dryer the patch stays on the screen. The only negative is the patches are far from invisible. First you've got the difference in color between the screen and the patch (even if you buy the same color old screen will have faded over time), and you've got different weave spacings of the screen and patch, and even if you happen to luck out and the weaves are the same, you've still got the issue of trying to align them perfectly which is difficult. Buy hey, this is a cheap patch. If you want perfection then spend the money and replace the whole screen.

Good for a quick fix
It seems to work well enough and keeps the bugs out. The tape wasn't sticky at all but I decided to give it a try and it stuck right away once I used my heat gun on it. I recommend a pair of heat proof, coated gloves to protect your fingers.

We'll see...
Item arrived quickly, no problem there. Read directions which include the words "place adhesive coated side against screen". When I opened the package, the white tear off strip was not stuck to the product which made me wonder if the adhesive was old or dried up. I did apply it to the screen but had to hold it rather that let the adhesive stick. It seems to have worked and it was not difficult and did not take long. It does look like a "patch job" but hoping it does the trick until I can replace our screen. We will see if it stands the test of time. 3 stars because it seems to have lost some of the adhesive

Not a perfect fix, but great as a quick repair for torn screens
Our dog, kids, and errant patio umbrellas have done great damage to a lot of our screens. some are aluminum and some are fiberglass. I have no desire to replace them all. This tape was a great compromise. It is easy to install as long as you have a blow dryer or heat gun. It's great on small tears and does a serviceable job on larger ones. You definitely can see the tape after installation, so it's not a magical return to new, but it seems sturdy and worked well on both the aluminum and fiberglass screens. Make sure to install the tape so that the grid lines line up with the grid lines on screen so that it minimizes the visibility of the tape.

FABULOUS product! It WORKS and holds up
I put a gazebo on my patio for my exercise equipment and enjoy having the mesh screen up to make it more of a "room." Because it gets the hot, morning sun plus the sprinklers and a curious cat who chooses to get in and out by attacking the screen... I ended up with a few holes. I bought the gray mesh tape and used a hair dryer to adhere some of these strips and an iron (with a portable ironing board behind it) for the others. It works GREAT. It hardly shows and protects the mesh from tearing more. i also finally figured out to leave the screens unzipped so that the cat can get in and out without putting a hole in the mesh itself. (I actually watched him steep daintily through a hole he had made in the mesh as though it was his imperial right to break through any edifice he wanted to breach.) These repairs have been up for well over a month... enduring Southern California sun, rain, wind and cats. It's still adhering perfectly.

Ordered both colors. Perfect product.
Perfect repair within a few minutes. Looks good. Can still see the ripped silhouette so recommend do one one inside and one on outside. Black is is too dark for silver screens. Order the silver, it looks lighter but it literally melts into the screen to look so seamless. Took 15 mins on screen door and 5 on window screen. Hair dryer needed.

Will never use again! Please read for details.
I would at strongly suggest using another product for your screen patch repair tasks. The paper "backing" on this roll literally fell of the screen material when I removed the roll from the case (... Wow). It took 2 people to perform the tasks that was advertised as a "one person job" (see product video). One person had to hold up the screen patch, and the other used the hair dryer. It required two hands to hold the patch in place since there was absolutely no adhesive stickiness to hold the patch in place. Once the patch heated up enough, we then had to use a spatula to smooth down the "adhesive" that was softened by the hair dryer because it wouldn't stick as well as it should have to the surrounding screen material without some serious help. Heating the patch even more didn't help because the patch material would just curl like crazy if it was over heated. Bottom line: 1. Material doesn't stick to the screen to be patched. 2. You need 2 people to perform the patch work 3. Once heated the adhesive will not stick to the screen without help from a firm press from a flat surface like a spatula. Please, consider using another brand!

Me agrado el resultado.
Me encantó el resultado, y es fácil de colocar con la secadora. El parche si se ve, pero es una buena solución para evitar que se termine de romper tu mosquitero. Y llegó antes de la fecha.

The adhesive is very loose
You have to be very careful when peeling off the backing to this because the adhesive seems to prefer to stick to the backing rather than to the patch. Once you get a patch with the adhesive still on it, the hair dryer does melt it enough to make it stick to the surface you are attaching it to. It isn't super-strong, but is sufficient for holding onto a screen. The adhesive is similar to the 'glue' that comes out of a hot glue gun.
