I have bought these before and will continue to buy them. They are durable for transporting even with just a thin piece of plastic for packaging. They are a go to firestarter that work every time like they should. Cant beat the price and value for money. Easy to store and easy to light with a long burn time.

When you live in the country, starting a wood fire usually involves chopping slivers of wood off of the ends of logs with a small hatchet. When you’re doing this at the end of a long day after getting home from work, it can be a real pain in the neck! I picked up these firestarter cakes to give as a gift to our household for the specific chore of starting a fire in our woodstove. They can be broken into four pieces to start the fire with just one of those four sections, but they work so well that we are breaking them into more than four pieces and have been able to easily and adequately start a fire in our woodstove. Generally, we do not spend money on extravagant items for anything that we can do ourselves, but these make a chore so much easier and their convenience factor rates so high that they are totally worth it. The cedar smells great too!

You only need 1/4 of a disc to easily start a great fire. Even on the breezy shores of Lake Michigan my family can get a bon fire going in no time.

Its a ok fire starter. Has a good burn time. Doesnt start well with a ferro rod, you must have a naked flame for it to take. Then it burns great. I would recomend this for a base camp or something similar only.

These fire starters are great for starting fires in our wood stove. They burn for a long time so your wood can get going. We actually break them in half or quarters because that's all we need to get our fire started. I definately recommend these if you have any trouble getting a fire started.

Gotta say when my little brother recommended these I took it with a grain of salt. You know how little brothers are always exaggerating when anything happens to them or any little thing that goes wrong. But I have to hand it to him these are top rated products. Come in fancy little packages you only need a quarter to do the job. I ordered, got em, and figured I would give em a test in my fire pit outside. Put part of one in, lit it up, and tossed some old waterlogged tree branches that have been sitting on the ground for a couple years and watched them dry out and light up. Way better than even mentioning those little break off squares I used to that would go out if you breathed on them. Great product

Please ignore the peanut gallery here. These perform as advertised. I was concerned post ordering when seeing others claim they are difficult to light ! BS !! These ignite within 3 seconds. instantaneously if you break in half and light the broken side. They don’t burn as long as claimed but they burn long enough where I do not add small wood. Just regular sized wood and the fire goes. Fully recommend. Well worth the price.I bought fat wood. Amazing product - but cost prohibitive. This is the perfect product. Enjoy.
