I tested a few panels and chose this one because it’s the only one that offered an extended warranty, which tells me the quality is more reliable. In Arizona heat it outputs about 19.6V open circuit and keeps my car battery charged while I’m away, which I need for my Allstate device. I rated it 4 stars because the cables feel cheap and soften in the sun, which doesn’t match an outdoor product, you need all weather type of cables. Lucky me, I got extended warranty just for that reason. Plus the back of the panel has a compartment where I can solder a better cable if needed. My other concern is back voltage, it stated that it has protection on that but when I turn on my car I get 13 plus volts and if that goes back to the panel, the panel will get a heat bubble on it that cause damage. I will monitor for that but usually a fuse is needed to protect the panel. Anyhow I hope this is a good long lasting panel and controller.

This works great out of the box. For the price I was a little concerned, but now I am very happy. There are good instruction for operation, and when I gave it atest on a cloudy day it had 14.6 V at the battery connections. The battery was dead and reading 0 volts when i started the test, 2 hours later, through the clouds, and the battery was at 9.6 V. Can't wait to give it a try on the camper to see how much it will charge the batteries during a full day.

There is one small detail to keep in mind before you install it. The cables running from the panel to the controller, and then to the battery, are a bit on the short side. If you plan to mount the solar panel high up on an RV roof or on a post away from the battery box, you will almost certainly need to buy an extension cable or splice in some extra wire of your own. It does exactly what I needed it to do. My battery stays consistently charged even after sitting untouched for weeks, and the whole system was straightforward to piece together.

I got this to charge my 12 volt batteries and it has been doing a great job. The power output is pretty good, even when it is not a really sunny day. It still charges the batteries a good amount. Relatively easy to use and good quality. It comes with alligator clips as well as the loops which is pretty convenient and compatible with my set up.

Works as stated. Good value. I use it to trickle feed my motorhome starter battery while it is stored. The cables are a fair length for most; however, I did need to extend mine because I wanted it on the roof of the motorhome where it was in the sun all day and not sitting on the ground. It does come with a handy bracket that can be used as a stable stand, or for mounting somewhere. It also has a controller to make sure it doesn't over-charge. I'll see how it goes for a few months and update the review if need be.
