Trerice BX9140307 Adjustable Angle Industrial Thermometer, 9" case, 3.5" Aluminum stem, 30-240˚F

Trerice makes a great product. There's plenty of knock off products available but I try to stick with Trerice. Over a couple of decades i've had only one failure and it was probably due to rough handling during shipment.

This is a heavy duty thermostat. But....... unless you are installing this in an uncharged line it's worthless. The way this thing is made makes it so you have to turn off the water and drain the WHOLE building! Instead of being able to leave the existing copper conductor in the pipe. The conductor has a wire that is connected to the rest of the unit so you have to remove the whole thing and screw the new 1 in. Instead of making it a 2peice and just installing half of it.

1 thermometer is reading 140 degrees right out of the box and has not changed. I bought 6 of these and did not know it was bad since it was a stock item for me. I do not see a return option on this item.
