These will not fit a 97. They are meant for a non turbo direct injected engine which was discontinued after 92. Hope this helps. **Q: Will they work on a 1994 f350 7.3 idi turbo?** A: As long as it's the idi diesel engine, yes. In 1994 there were two different 7.3 diesel engines available. **Q: is there a tool available to help pull glow plug after loosening it?** A: Nothing that I'm aware of. Mine where a little tight pulling them out due to carbon and ballooning of the plug. Keep working them around and pulling and it should come out. I did pull a little bit with some pliers on a few too. If not other options are quite mechanically involved... **Q: Would these fit in a 6.9l idi?** A: They should.
