RecPro RV White Power Cord Hatch Cover | 50 Amp | Snap Lock

I bought this RecPro Power Cord Hatch Cover for a slightly different purpose than RV use, and it worked perfectly. I needed a clean and safe way to run my Tesla charging cable from my laundry room to the garage, and this hatch cover turned out to be the ideal solution. The UV-stabilized plastic feels very durable and well made. Once installed in the wall, it looks neat and professional instead of having a messy hole for the cable. The snap-lock door is a great feature because it closes securely when the cable isn’t in use, keeping the space sealed and tidy. The opening is large enough to easily accommodate my Tesla charging cable, and the cord slot allows the door to close while the cable is passing through. Installation was straightforward and only required a simple wall cutout and a few screws. Overall, this is a simple but very clever product. If you need a clean way to pass a thick power cable through a wall or panel, this works beautifully. Great quality and exactly what I needed. Highly recommend.

Installed in the side of my van so that I can feed the cable from my ground solar panels to my Bluetti power station through it instead of an open window when I'm off-grid. I wanted a cable hatch that would be large enough diameter to fit into the existing 3.5" hole that housed a 4.25" (outer dimensions) water inlet port. I no longer use a water tank in the van (I use jugs instead), so opted to replace the water inlet port with a cable hatch. The water inlet port was Valterra, so I initially purchased a Valterra cable hatch thinking it would be an exact fit (the measurements listed were the same). It was actually too small, so I purchased this RecPro RV cable hatch. Glad I did, as it's plenty large enough to replace the Valterra water inlet port and is slightly better quality than the Valterra cable hatch. I prefer the slide-up door for smaller cables in addition to the flip-up cap for larger cables. A 50amp Anderson connector fits no problem. I could see the flip-up cap breaking if not used gently, so I'll be careful with it every time I open and close it. I'm a tiny bit concerned about bugs getting in while in use, but I plan to try to address this from inside the van. Note that it does not come with hardware. I used butyl tape and black silicone to seal it, and I'm happy with how it looks. Hope it lasts a long time. Will update my review if anything changes, but right now I'm pleased.

My old cover was sunbleached quite badly, so this freshened up the look on my trailer. I added some sealant on the top half to keep rain out and it seemed as good as the one I removed.

Bought this to replace a broken piece on a 2006 Jayco Jay Flight - retro fit was perfect. Took out the old piece and cleaned up the old sealent, added new lap sealant and put this new one in with the old screws (no included screws) - perfect fit and does exactly what you would expect for the power cord.
