Kept a housing from previous replacement of Original JVC bulb... Only need to remove 3 of the 4 screws (One is almost inaccessible) to pull out the old bulb.. Take a Close up Photo with your phone before starting as there are a couple of mounting plates that you will have to put back.. Replacement Bulb is a 100% match with wires etc... Brightness is excellent and will be using again once I pass the 2000 hr plus mark.. UPDATE…. Wow…. With 2 previous OEM bulbs I’d never gone from Econo Mode to High Bright mode.. With this I did, hoping to get 1000hrs at bright… DO IT!!! Total trashed getting a Laser projector as my JVC Thx projector is now and has been at high mode and a keeper for years to come … 1100 hrs currently at Bright mode at still jaw dropping picture… Will order couple more for when bulb finally starts to fade… NEVER USING ECONO MODE AGAIN… :-)))

On arrival, I was concerned because this is a particularly delicate item and was shipped with minimal protective packaging. Luckily, the bulb was fine. It displays brightly so far, though it's been used for less than 30 hours, so don't know how well it works over bulb's lifetime.

This bulb in $94. A replacement housing costs over $500. I'm a DIY'er so this was an easy decision for me. Sometimes DIY can get messy, but not this time. The advantage of the replacement housing is you simply pull the old housing and insert the new one. Job done. With the bulb, you have to remove the old housing, then using a screwdriver and tweezers, replace the old bulb. A pretty simple task in the DIY world. This bulb takes a minute to warm up. The picture is dim at first, but then is ok. So it's not OEM, but appears to be a solid replacement. I'll know more when I see how long it lasts.

This is the second time I have purchased this bulb as a replacement for my projector. The first time I ordered this the bulb was fantastic and lasted nearly a year. This bulb however didn’t last two months and just stopped working….the product description says guaranteed for 200 days and to contact seller for a replacement…..but there is no contact info provided…now I’m out the money that I paid for this bulb and have to still order another one so my projector will work.

The bulb works fine but smells bad for the first several hours.

I found it very close to the original OEM! Super good quality and very bright, for a quarter of the price of the original! May be a little bit less life span but honestly even at half the lifespan it would be worth it because it’s four times cheaper! Very happy so far

The bulb lasted through ONE presentation. the second time I used it, it would not light. Very disappointed with the bulb!

I bought my JVC D-HILA X750RBU back in 2015 with two original JVC lamps. Those Lamps where SUPER BRIGHT out of the box and for the first few years. My 2nd was still very bright but blew on me because of a power outage. Since original lamps and casing cost 599$ C, I decided to try this one. This lamp is NOWHERE NEAR AS BRIGHT as my 2 original lamps. High power mode for this lamp is nearly as bright as the low power mode of my 2 original lamps. Still it does the job if you don't mind brightness. I guess you get what you pay for. Edit: I use a 120" screen with a 13' throw distance. Edit 2: I decided to go ahead and buy an original lamp from JVC: Brightness is back with punch! Low mode for the JVC lamp is definitely brighter than high mode the lamp reviewed above not to mention that high mode for JVC lamp is super bright! I'm glad I went back to an original lamp from JVC.
