Review: Comfy and durable - I'm not someone that writes reviews frequently but I'm going on three years of heavy usage on these shoes. they are by far my favorites. Easy to slip on and comfy to wear. No trails or rough terrain just even paved ground usage, regardless for a pair of shoes i paid less than 40 bucks and lasted this long, I got my money's worth. Getting ready to replace them at some point, they're still holding on.
Review: Great everyday walking shoe or weight lifting zero drop shoe. Strengthen your arch! - I absolutely love these shoes! I've had one pair for a full year wearing almost every day and the quality is fantastic. I even came back to buy a second pair in a different color. They are holding together strong! I originally bought these as a minimalist every day walking shoe to strengthen my arch (I have a high arch) and reduce issues with plantar fasciitis. I wanted a shoe that had a zero drop and approximated barefoot walking while still looking good and protecting my feet outside. They have helped tremendously! I walk on the balls of my feet all day and I now have less issues. They wrap around my foot like a perfectly fit lightweight glove (foot type: high arch, thin heel, wide toe box. I mention this because if you have this foot type you know how difficult it is to find the perfect fit). I get compliments on them all the time, as well, for how good they look. They are easy to clean too. I give them a wipe with a wet washcloth or blow them off with an air compressor and they are back to looking as good as new. I also wear them in the gym for weight lifting and basic mobility training drills. They do very well. There are certain things they are not good at though, simply because of the type of shoe they are, and the thinness of the sole. So don't expect them to perform outside what they are made to do. I don't hike in these where I know the profile is very rocky or the path is covered in roots. You will feel every single one of them. Don't expect to feel comfortable in a tree adventure park either...that was a mistake I will not be making again. My feet tried to wrap around every wire and thin board. They were very tired and sore by the end of the excursion. I wouldn't run in them very far either, unless you are training to barefoot run and have a steady growth and strengthening plan. Otherwise, you could potentially injure yourself. If you intend to spend a lot of time walking or standing on a solid cement shop floor I would also caution against using these for that. Over the course of the day you will find that your feet will become very tired and sore. I would recommend a cushioned sole instead for that. I tried mountain biking with them and although you can do it, there just isn't enough support and protection. I would not recommend them for that use case. Lastly, they don't have a ton of side support since they have a cloth upper so they aren't very good at supporting your foot during quick or strong lateral movements. There have been a couple times in the gym where I felt as though I was going to roll out of the shoe. Summary: I am a big believer in buying the right shoe for the right use case! For everyday casual wear and as a weightlifting zero drop shoe, these are amazing! I would highly recommend them. For hiking, mountain biking, or running, go spend the money on a pair specifically designed for those activities.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What exactly is a zero drop running shoe?**
A: A zero drop running shoe has the same amount of material beneath the foot at both the heel and toe of the shoe. There is no angle. They are designed to support a more natural running gait and discourage heel striking.

**Q: I am used to Vibrams, but this year their sizes all run small, so my size 9 foot would be a size 10 shoe. So this is size 8?**
A: I bought size 10, same as my foot size. Some shoes I need to buy 10.5. But for this I kept the same size(10) and fits perfect.

**Q: I wear a 10.5 men but there's no selection**
A: I bought a size 10 due to this comment even though my feet are 10.5. The shoes did not fit me with any space around the toes. I would recommend getting size 11 despite this comment.

**Q: Is the sole hard enough to trail run? I’m looking for a cheap vibram sole alternative.**
A: If you’re talking about over rocks, the sole will probably be too flexible for running. Dirt trails and boulders should be just fine. The sole is just really flexible so you’d have to take terrain into account.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for back, but beware goat heads and shin pain
*by T***8 on December 7, 2024*

If you're getting a zero drop sole shoe, then these are great. The fabric is a bit elastic which helps make the shoes feel comfortable immediately out of the box. I paired them with some elastic shoe laces and they make a great slip on. They are quiet, fit right but offer no arch support. Simple warnings if you have never had barefoot shoes, the lack of cushion is, at first, very hard on your shins. You will go around a month with shin pain as your body adapts to the change. The pain is never unbearable, but it's a bone pain which is definitely unpleasant. Due to this, don't give up. The temporary shin pain is worth the eventually lack of back pain and strain. While not a perfect solution to lower back pains, the benefits of barefoot shoes and zero drop soles are very real ib my experience and have relieved years of back pain. The next part, specific to this shoe is that the sole is thin. This is intentional but something you may not realize is that it is just thin enough for longer goat heads to penetrate the sole and prick your foot. This came as a shock to me the first time I got soles these thin. If you live in an area where goat heads grow then you may want to look into some sort of sole insert that is puncture resistant. Many are sold for construction workers for protection and they are around $15-35. You are easily able to remove the included insole and replace it and I'd recommend it if you may find yourself walking in goat heads or other such spikes. While you may debate whether or not you should try barefoot shoes and zero drop soles, if you find yourself wanting to try them out then I'd recommend these ones. Good for work, good for walking and worth the money. Edit: I have gone through my first pair. It lasted just over a year, like a month passed a year. The material in the sple finally wore through. The entire construction held up though, the only failure was the thin sole which is it's defining feature. I have no issue with the longevity, and bought a second pair.
