Enthralling Manga
This manga is one of my favorites, hopefully it will be finished some day! The extra color art pages in the Dark Horse Omnibi are beautiful, I wish this type of thing was included in other omnibi produced by other publishers, or that Dark Horse did all of Clamps English translations

Who is Hinoto, then?
The review is for the fifth omnibus volume of CLAMP's X series. If you haven't been through volumes 1 through 4, you don't need to start here. This series is too dense for casual flicking here and there. I also spoil slightly--there's yer warning! At the start of this volume, Fuma (or as he calls himself, "Kamui") is busily granting "wishes". Like killing a young man who is willing to die to protect Hinoto, or removing a hero's eye previously. Yicky. Kamui is getting more desperate, wanting only for Fuma to return to being the kind man he had been (and anybody who's read Tokyo Babylon will recognise that plot) while various others are drawn to love where they feel they shouldn't. Arashi seems to finally be yielding to Sorata's goofy charm, while Karen is drawn to very-married Seiichiro. Satsuki seems to have developed feelings for devilish Yuto, who is Kanoe's lover. But those are all between people on the "same side"-- there are two couples, at least, who cross lines in their emotional attachments.Yuzuriha is at a very low ebb when her Inuki, kind of a spirit guide, had died to protect her, but Kusanagi stays with her and encourages her to find the will to live. She does so well enough that when Fuma/Kamui suggests she should be harbouring a death wish after Inuki's death, he discovers instead that she truly wants to live. Yuzuriha later tells Kusanagi that she is in love with him, but she doesn't expect him to return her feelings. What she doesn't know is that Kusanagi has tried to stay out of the conflict, because he is technically on Fuma's side, but Yuzuriha has forced him to join the battlefield. The other couple are Subaru and Seishiro, who seem to only hurt each other. The fact that they are two of the strongest mystics in the groups also affect things. But at the centre of things are the dream seers, Hinoto and Kakyo. But Hinoto, it seems, has been replaced by a doppelgänger of herself, and the doppelgänger wants for Kamui and his supporters to all die. But is this, perhaps, Hinoto's true heart all along, that she has consciously tried to reject. Kanoe has been unable to watch Hinoto's dreams since the doppelgänger started to emerge, and she seems to be worried for her older sister (despite appearances, Hinoto is older than Kanoe). The X series is still unfinished, and the next omnibus collects the last of what CLAMP have released. There is a film and an anime series, but the film veered quickly from the manga plot, and the anime series may also be different from what the manga intended to do. The art is luscious and the story painfully captivating, so it's annoying to think that there is no "end", tragic, happy, or bittersweet, to this story. But there is a bit more. However, this is pretty much an End of Days type story, as in Book of Revelations, Ragnarok, Armageddon, call it what you will. Not a place of warm fuzzies and have a nice cuppa afterword.

A good book
It may be the cause of the transportation process, the cover is a bit damaged, the whole book has creases, but the story is still good, printing is also very good.
