Works as intended
Design and build/finish quality are good, and it's nice to get a bunch of inserts included. I am fairly new to lathes and bought this after destroying my cheap starter cutoff tool on some challenging tool steel. I've already managed to kill one or two of the included inserts, but that's user error from trying to be too aggressive, and in fairness the tool has held up pretty well. (Amateur pro tip: wear goggles always! Carbide inserts shatter with a heck of a bang.) This one is a good balance between quality and not being too crazily expensive for a casual weekend hobbyist. Would buy again.

Works great although a little short.
Works great but I would like narrow court off area a little longer. Most of my cut offs are high speed steel but many of the things I machine are too hard and just burn the edge. With the carbide insert this works great.

No Complaints
Quality seems fine, the business end is made a little heavier duty than the last one I had. Overall finish is nice on the tool. No sharp edges or defects in the coating. Seems to cut just fine

A Must Have For Home Machinists
It was simple to use and I have used it on my old craftsman Lathe with ease. The bits are sharp so it didnt take much power to use. I recommend this for ease of use and how well it worked
