A Serious Upgrade โ Rock-Solid, Flexible, and Built to Last
Iโve owned plenty of cheap mic stands over the yearsโusually in the $20โ$30 rangeโand theyโve always felt flimsy, top-heavy, or limited in flexibility. I finally decided to upgrade for a big event, and after using the K&M 21090, Iโm honestly blown away. The build quality is excellentโitโs solid, heavy enough not to tip, and incredibly stable. The boom arm is versatile, and the stand extends extra tall, which made it perfect for miking a choir and a full band. I didnโt expect to be so impressed by a mic stand, but now Iโve bought three more and am retiring the old ones. If youโre on the fence, just get itโthis is a professional-grade stand that truly elevates your setup.

This is the strong sturdy version of this stand.
This is the heavier more sturdy version of this stand. This stand looks great and stays in place while using it. It is hard to get a quality mic stand these days that is heavy enough to not get knocked over easily and wreck your microphone. I have five of these now that I use for vocal mics. The easy height adjustment with the extendable boom is great when setting the mic for different vocalists and they can reach up pretty high for the tall singers as well. It also works well for reaching low enough to mic a guitar amp sitting on the floor. Highly recommend.

Highest Quality
K&M is a renowned brand in the music industry known for producing high-quality microphone stands. The boom on their mic stands is designed to stay firmly in place, ensuring that the microphone stays in the desired position during recording or performance. It is nearly impossible to move the boom unless it is intentionally loosened. Therefore, K&M mic stands are highly recommended for their stability and reliability. In addition to their robust design, K&M mic stands are also versatile and can be adjusted to suit different recording or performance needs. They come in various sizes and designs to accommodate different microphones and recording setups, making them suitable for use in different settings. Overall, K&M mic stands are an excellent investment for anyone looking for a reliable and sturdy support system for their microphone. They are built to last and offer exceptional value for money.

If you have suffered from cheap mic stands in your life, this stand will be your redemption.
I had what I thought was a pretty good middle rated mic stand, and I used if for gigging and also for practice with the band and it held up until it began to get old. It began to wobble. It became hard to adjust. It began to droop if it wasn't tightened beyond human ability. So I decided to get a K&M stand because it came highly recommended by a musician I respected. What a difference. Build quality is great, ease of use is great, materials are high quality and the functional design is very good. I think I will keep this until I die.

Excellent Mic Stand
Iโve used many different mic stands and I have to say this is going to be my go-to for future purchases. Itโs so well built, sturdy, easy to adjust, and has great height and angle adjustability. Itโs versatile and the quality exceeds that of other stands Iโve used, even ones that cost more. Exceptional value. Highly recommend!

Excellent quality, solid, but not cheap.
Excellent quality, solid, holds large mic without tipping (as long as boom is aligned with a leg). Expensive (hence 4 stars instead of 5), but great quality. I previously tried the Proline stands (purchased at Guitar Center) which were not stable with a heavy mic and could not be tightened effectively--but were half the price. The K & M is much better and seems built to last forever.

Buy new? Yeah
Positive: substantial build quality, probably the best of all microphone support stands Derogatory: I tried to save a few bucks, and ordered one of the used, good condition items for about $30 less. It arrived promptly in a beat-up box, missing the boom arm and threaded tightening nuts.. Essentially useless. Returned to sender. I donโt recommend taking a chance on that.

bad packaging, excellent service from Connolly Music
I purchased this item based on its excellent reviews and specs, and opted to order it from a seller that uses amazon as the fulfillment agent (thus getting free "Prime" shipping.) It arrived in a battered box that had been re-taped, which caused me to believe it might have been a returned and re-stocked item. That would have been fine, since the item appeared to be new. However, when I assembled the item, I discovered that a small - but crucial - part was missing. I intended to return the item to amazon, which is an inconvenient process. Instead, I did a bit of searching and discovered that the U.S. rep for Konig & Meyer is Connolly Music ([...]). Connolly's website gives instructions on how to order replacement parts, so I followed the procedure. I didn't really expect that it would work, but in fact a support rep very quickly responded to my inquiry, sent me a schematic for the unit that enabled me to specifically identify the missing part, and for a few dollars I was able to order it directly. Although I was disappointed and inconvenienced by the shipping of an incomplete unit, I was surprised and impressed by the service I received from Connolly, and the stand itself is an excellent product, well-designed, well-engineered, and a bargain at the price.

Sturdy, heavy duty
Reliable, really sturdy and so quite heavy. But it's perfect for my home studio, not necessarily for taking out on gigs.

Best Stand for the Money
This is the second one of these I have purchased because they are GREAT stands. Very well built, easy to assemble, tough, and heavy enough to hold a mic at reasonable extension without falling over. Definitely the best mic stand for the money spent, and I've tried a lot!
