Time saver
As a homeowner/dyi/handyman, this product is a time (and lower back) saver. I'm sure that the pro's are aware of it, yet, many others would add this to their tool chest if they were aware of it. Highly recommended.

Game changer
This is a game changer! Holding a standard pan hurts my hands and love having a place to put my knives

A great long-term investment.
There's always something new. I didn't even know I needed this. On construction sites, there are all kinds of distractions and conditions not conducive to cleanliness. When finishing drywall, the drywall compound has to be free of contaminants. If the least amount of debris gets in the compound, it will cause me to pick it out and rerun my work. Depending on what I'm doing, I may need a 12” trowel, a 6" knife, or a 2” knife all at the same time. Every time I lay a knife down, I'm subject to getting a piece of trash on it. I find myself wasting time going back and forth changing tools. Marshalltown has created this Hawkmate accessory. I unscrewed the handle of my hawk, placed the Hawkmate in place, and reinstalled the handle. It fits perfectly. This accessory allows me to place two knives, or a trowel and a knife, under the hawk. I use one tool and can switch to the other tools simply by placing the tool I'm using under the hawk and retrieving one I have stored there. It's like a spring clamp that keeps the tools securely in place until you need them. I no longer lose time switching tools, and I always know where they are. I can keep them free of trash at all times. It's heavy metal. I believe it to be aluminum due to its spring-like feel. I can recommend this. It's a great value for a long-term investment.

Practical Organizer Attachment for Masonry Work
The MARSHALLTOWN HAWKMATE Tool Storage System is a simple yet effective solution for keeping masonry tools organized while using a hawk. Designed to attach securely to standard masonry hawks, it provides a convenient spot to rest tools like joint knives, trowels, or taping knives between uses. Its lightweight aluminum construction helps ensure it doesn’t add unnecessary bulk or fatigue, which is particularly useful during long periods of continuous work. The design includes a central hole and a curved profile that matches the contour of the hawk, allowing for a snug and stable fit. Although this item is an accessory and does not include a handle or hawk itself, it adds utility by keeping essential tools within reach and off potentially dirty or wet surfaces. The storage system maintains a low profile and doesn’t interfere with the hawk’s standard use, enhancing workflow efficiency for professionals and DIY users alike. Made in the USA, it reflects the durability and functionality that MARSHALLTOWN tools are known for. Overall, the HAWKMATE is a helpful, no-frills addition to any masonry setup. It supports better organization on the job and delivers reliable performance in a compact, jobsite-ready form.

Wish I knew about this before
I have 13' ceilings and have been repairing the botched drywall job from a recent renovation, (teaches me to hire someone to do something I can do myself) Going up and down the ladder and fumbling w/ the different blades while up there was getting old and am happy to have this to hold my smaller blade when I'm not using it. The only thing is getting use to having the extra blade on the hawk, it throws the balance off, not to mention I'm use to using all the edges, (one for new mud and the other for what was removed and the third and fourth for cleaning the blade). Turning/spinning the hawk with the extra blade just makes it a little more difficult and you have to relearn your movements, (if that makes any since). This accessory tool is also really sharp, just make sure you hit it w/ a quick sanding block to soften them. Overall I'm happy w/ this purchase, especially 13' in the air.
