Samsung Electronics Qi Wireless Charger and UV Sanitizer - US Version

Although I don’t own a Samsung phone, I was thrilled to discover this brand-name charger at a great price. It effectively eliminates germs from my phone. The design is simple, clean, and seamlessly fits into any decor. The functionality is intuitive and easy to understand: just place your phone (or other item) inside, close the lid, press the button, and in 10 minutes, it will beep to let you know it’s germ-free. It’s also a wireless charger, which is a nice touch, though I haven’t had a device in it long enough to see significant benefits. The device is incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for travel. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a UV sanitizer for electronics.

Nothing on the box or item says it's officially a samsung item as samsung doesn't sell UV Sanitizers. This is just a generic UV Sanitizer that "works with samsung items" ... duh, of course it does. Average UV box design. Does it sanitize? Possibly. Easy to use, just drop your phone in the box for 15 minutes and its done. Though, I tend to run my items twice to make sure. It has a wireless charger inside so it charges your phone while it cleans it. No noise other than the beep to tell you it's done. It's a pretty decent sized light box so it will fit most phones... even new ones. No, it wont fix a tablet or anything "big" ... overall if you want a cheap UV light box to sanitize your phone or watch, this is a decent choice.

Love the design and how easy it is to use. Only issue is if you have a finger socket and it might not charge your phone while it’s sanitizing. You always have to find the right spot to charge your phone and the charger is probably not that strong. I’ve left my phone in the box for at least 20 mins and I don’t think it charged at all even though I saw my phone was charging.

I bought this earlier this year when it was $17. It's a bit more expensive now, but in my opinion it's worth up to $40. Been using it daily without any issues for almost 6 months now.

So far so good. I have had the unit for about 2 weeks. It charges the phone just fine. The information in the description says it will charge watches as well as phones and earbuds, however, the documents that come with the charger states that it will not charge watches. That is no problem for me since I replaced the horrible looking plastic band on my Samsung watch with a metal bracelet. If I have any complaint, it is the fact that the unit is so light that I can't flip it open with just one hand. It has an indented surface on the upper and lower halves but when you try to lift the lid the entire things comes up and the lid stays closed. The charger that I replaced was hit and miss as to whether it was connected for charging or not. There was a blue indicator light on the edge and when a good paring was made the light would alternate between green and blue. I often had to jockey the phone around to find the sweet spot to get the charging connection. With this charger I can just pop the lid and drop the phone in and automatically see that I have a good connection.

Works good, but I believe they sent me an used one. Amazon, you need to do better. If the product is used then consumers need to know if they want to purchase an item; not just sell them a full price.

I haven't had this product very long but I am pretty pleased. I saw lots of complaints about it not charging or charging slow before purchasing. Generally, wireless charging is slower than wired but it seems to work. made sure to pair the cable with a lightning/fast charge brick as I find some basic ones not designed for fast charge are much slower when charging devices. I put my phone in at 73% and after a full cleaning cycle, it was at 76%. It's a Galaxy S21+. Fits fine in the device with room to spare on all sides. Not sure how effective it is at cleaning but I can say that it gives a little extra piece of mind. oh, the beeping it makes is pretty obnoxious but you have no problem hearing when the cycle starts and ends, even from another room.

I guess it works as advertised.

I am really surprised with the high quality of the product considering the price. Just buy it if you need something like this.

Bought this for a completely different purpose. Although I'm sure my mobile phone is virus free after being in the box for ten minutes, the UVC light used is also the exact wavelength to erase EPROMs. The unit can do two EPROMS at once and just needs them to be balanced with the windows facing the little UV tubes. After ten minutes the unit turns itself off and the EEPROMs are blank. Build quality is excellent. It's built like a tank and the lid closes with a satisfying *thunk* and is properly held shut by quite strong magnets. Timing is automatic so no danger of over-sanitising anything and a safety mechanism stops you from exposing yourself to UVC if you open the lid before it's finished (UVC can cause significant eye damage so it's not wise to try and look at it..). Although I'm not using it for the purpose it was intended for, it's still far safer than some of the garbage EPROM erasers from the far east... So, great unit to erase EPROMs and you can sanitise your phone with it too (also does wireless charging but my phone doesn't have that - no reason to think it wouldn't work nicely though).
