I installed this on a 2004 Ram 1500 tailgate. I trimmed it using a new heavy duty box cutter, and an 8' aluminum ruler. A large ruler helps a lot. I cut the first line on three sides, and it fits perfect. I attached it with 8 screws. I bought one from another manufacturer that was $20.00 less and sent it back because the quality was horrible. The CAT is a quality mat. Very nice.

Was not excited to see the mounting method! However it was easy tech two sets of hands! I like it after it’s was installed!

I don't like drilling holes in the bed of my truck, but that's what you've got to do.

2022 F-250 crew cab 6.7 Lariat with a 6’.8” bed:Pros: It’s thick and well made. Cons: It needed to be cut where the tailgate locks are on each side and most likely a few other places as well. Cutting 1/4” solid rubber isn’t easy. The prefabricated hole markers don’t line up with the factory tailgate screws, so you will have to make new penetrations in the tailgate. It’s definitely designed for lots of different trucks. Also, the screws are cheap, and they don’t give you enough screws to fasten it securely and finish the job. Also, the supplied screws aren’t self tapping. Read other reviews. Several people complained that they didn’t supply enough screws and that they needed to buy self tapping screws to mount it correctly. It will work if you are willing to cut it and spend extra money on self tapping screws. It’s not an easy install, at least on my truck. I didn’t want to make new penetrations in the metal so I returned it. Hope this helps.

Nice product

Nice tough mat. Kind of tough to trim but if it was easy to cut it would not be so durable. My truck is a 1997 Tacoma and even the smallest outlined size was not quite small enough, but I trimmed it with a utility razor and it turned out fine. There were enough screws for my application. Outlined gate sizes are 17" X 54" and 19" X 59" and 20" X 60" and 21" X 62" It isn't necessary to cut precisely on the outline, just cut it to fit your gate properly.
