I have been a trader for 5+ years, followed different strategies and systems but Steve's knowledge and experience is beyond anything I have seen or read. I wish I came across these book earlier in my trading career, I would have cut my learning time and bad experiences by a significant amount.Getting into trading, without reading all these books is waste of time and will get into bad habits which would be hard to overcome.Steve is the most knowledge, yet Generous Trader who as articulated the psychological aspect of the trading in these books. While, I am trading day in and out, my Dad (over legal retirement age) was so upset over me in trading business because of the risk involved. I got him these books and God, after reading all of them, he has a different opinion now and thanks to Steve, we discuss the strategies and risk management together which is helping me build a better trading system.I got this book and list of books mentioned below for my Dad, A must read for all age groups, not only if you are trading but also get a feel of what this business is and what aspects of human emotions have to be reigned in to excel in tradingNew Trader 101: The Fastest Way to Grow Wealth in the Stock MarketNew Trader, Rich Trader: How to Make Money in the Stock MarketNew Trader,Rich Trader 2: Good Trades, Bad TradesCalm Trader: Win in the Stock Market without Losing Your MindTrading Habits: 39 of the World's Most Powerful Stock Market RulesHow I Made $2,000,000 in the Stock Market: Now Revised & Updated for the 21st Century

Excellent book
Excellent book, loaded with useful information. Mandatory read for every beginner. Don't start trading before you read this book. You will not be disappointed, but start with the book 1, of course:)

A map with directions certainly helps to get to your destination!
The book is about :Part 1: Managing the MIND to stay in the game.Part 2: Creating a Robust Methodology.Part 3: Managing Ri$k to stay in the game.Steve Burns delivered on all three! I enjoyed and appreciated the book for its straight forward objectives. He hammered home the importance of achieving all three. Developing long term success in the markets trading or becoming consistently profitable depends on these three areas more than I realized initially. New Trader Rich Trader2 was a somewhat unique book in that its a story that covers the psychology in the journey of profitable trading. An analogy with poker might be that anyone with money can play. Knowing how to play without losing all of your money certainly makes things more enjoyable and repeatable. One should at least be familiar with some of the strategies of the most successful players so you do not lose all of your money! This short book was packed with lessons that will help all on their trading journey. " newtraderu.com" is the authors blog or website that that i found first. It is "free" to access. I enjoyed this site so much that I bought both of these new trader rich trader books. This author actually has things to say that I found worthwhile and helpful(profitable) without actually recommending specific buys or sells! Thanks, I really enjoyed both of these books and your website!

Ok and entertaining boom
Nothing special or new here. Some good advice on risk. The story is not much to talk about, à bit corny. The author want to sell his educations

I encourage all serious traders to Study this book
Basic but very solid concepts that MUST be understood to hearth in order to have a chance at trading profitable as a business...written in a Story format that entertains and still down all those basic trading concepts. I read the book in one weekend, then went back and study it over and over...

Great books! (both New Trader 1 & 2) As a new trader trying to learn the ropes this was a fantastic read and helped me to formulate an actual trading plan and put some things into perspective. I have read several market & trading books, but this one was a fun read that is not dry like most trading literature. Worth every penny and a great novice/intermediate book. I wish I would have started with New Trader Rich Trader. I think it would have helped me find my direction much better and faster.

Core Concept Principles in one concise book
This book is great for including all the core concepts all traders must understand. I've read the other reviews and they're right in that this book seems redundant compared to what's out there but Steve does a great job neatly summarising all the important trading concepts into one neat little book. This should be a must read for all beginning traders and traders looking to rehash forgotten core principles. The reason I gave it 4 stars is bc although the explanations are correct, it's lacking depth (more detailed explanation). An in depth explanation would have contrasted the style of this book as its a light read, PACKED with all the basics of trading. I recommend 'trading in the zone by mark douglas' for depth. This book is fantastic and I recommend it to all traders. Its not a long read but it really helps hammer home concepts that we, as humans, will always forget. Cancel your Spotify subscription for a month and buy this book. Thank Steve later

Very superficial, a compilation of all that can EASILY be found on the WEB
“cut your losses short”; “no free lunch on Wall Street”; “The Market Can Remain Irrational Longer Than You Can Remain Solvent”; and all other maxims, proverbs, etc. are the essence of both books. Nothing new, no real content. Could have been written by a librarian or freelance journalist.

Good book for understanding trading psychology
Gave 5 rating because i admired the way of presenting the concepts by the author , book was certainly a delight and kept me hooked , read the whole book in just 2 sitting, the ending was pretty hilarious and caught me by surprise , overall concepts like trading psychology and discipline have been explained in a very simple and easy to grasp manner , liked this one a lot.

Yet another great book on the basics
Need to keep reading such titles which explain the markets in a simple way. It keeps engraving these concepts in the mind.
