Stylish and Usable
I don't need to say much about the CEO's looks, as they're evident in the pictures above. It's got style and then some. There are a number of complaints about the thumb stud being too stiff, but it just needs a little breaking in. I played with it for hours after first opening it up (how could I not?), and now I can flick it open pretty easily. I can only imagine it will get even easier with time. The thin blade makes this a knife for casual use: opening letters, trimming loose string on your clothes, cutting boxes, etc. Given its styling, that shouldn't be a surprise to you. If you need an outdoor utility tool, get a different knife. I will say I was disappointed the blade wasn't better sharpened. I can do it myself, but I love the honeymoon period that comes with a new knife, when its blade is magically sharp. Overall, I'm very happy with this knife. It'll make a solid EDC blade, and will look good at the same time. I noticed some people mentioned their knives broke. If mine gets damaged, I'll update my review, but this certainly gives the appearance of being a well-made knife. EDIT: After a month of use, I've upped my rating from 4 stars to 5. I'm really in love with this blade. EDIT: Three months in, and the clip on the handle snapped in half. I saw some other reviews complaining about that and thought, "What are they doing it abuse it?" But not so! I was sitting on a plush couch, knife in pants pocket, and stood up. The tip of the clip caught the fabric of the couch, and the thing snapped as quick as can be. I never even felt any resistance. At first I was rather dismayed, but I emailed CRKT and they were quick to respond. They've got a rather generous parts replacement system, and I've got a new clip on the way to me free of charge. The metal on the clip is clearly something inferior like nickel. It looks and feels cheap. I'd say it's no big deal, but if these things keep snapping, surely at some point, CRKT will cut me off from free replacements.I'll update my review if it happens again or I have troubles receiving the replacement.

Great knife, even better company.
I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with this incredible pocket knife. First of all, it looks fantastic – sleek and modern with a design that feels just right in your hand. The blade is razor-sharp out of the box and stays that way through regular use. It's also the perfect shape, making it easy to handle for any task, from cutting rope to peeling an apple. At this price point it’s harder to find a better deal. Plus, sharpening it is a breeze, which is always a huge plus for me. What really made me want to leave a review, though, was the outstanding customer service. I accidentally broke the pocket clip trying to adjust it, and when I reached out to the company, they immediately offered to send a replacement part – free of charge! It arrived the very next week, and the entire process was seamless. It's rare to find a company that stands by their product like this. All in all, this knife is a gem, and I couldn’t be more satisfied!

Very attractive knife for an attractive price
My preference for EDC knives tend to be knives that are thin, simple, clean lines, and fairly low profile. As soon as I saw a picture of the CRKT CEO, I knew I had to get it. After a few weeks using this knife, I feel ready to share my thoughts. Styling: In my opinion, this knife is very handsome. The lines are very clean and straight, there is nothing that sticks out. It looks elegant and gentlemanly in its simplicity. I believe the styling makes this knife at home in my denim jeans pocket or in dress pants. Blade: The steel used for the blade isn’t the best out there but it’s also not the worst. For the price, I think it is a good compromise. Mine arrived with clean machining but the edge was not really that great. Other CRKT knives I’ve received in the past come much sharper out of the box. Fit/finish: Fit and finish of the knife are very good. The blade locks up tight, machining is very good, and overall I think this knife looks like it costs more than it actually does. Negatives: I have just a few gripes about the knife after using it for the last few weeks: 1. I prefer tip up carry and the pocket clip of the knife is set up for tip down. I prefer to be able to reach into my pocket, grab the knife, and flip it open as it clears my pocket with no need to readjust my grip - hence tip up carry. I find myself still stumbling a bit when I pull this knife out due to trying to overcome the muscle memory of most of my other knives. This gripe is probably more of a personal opinion but it has been the most difficult thing to get used to with the knife. 2. The very bottom of the knife handle has some sharp corners. The handle scales and bottom piece form some slightly sharp edges that can dig into your hand during use. I would like to see the metal at the bottom of the knife blended better into the scales to smooth that area out and make it more comfortable for using. That’s about all I have on the knife so far. Overall, I think this is a very attractive knife for an attractive price. I’m happy with my purchase.

Sharp, pointy, cheapish handle cover but good guts.
This thing is razor sharp and solid. Opens smooth and no wiggle at all. The knife itself is great. It's right hand open only and takes a little getting used to to open with the little stud. Closing also takes getting used to as the lock is a little hard to get to, but not a deal breaker. The grip plastic is half a millimeter or so too big so it is not totally flush with the knife body but I smoothed it out with sand paper and it's fine now. Your thumb rubs against the grip where the grip is larger than the knife body when unlocking. Small gripe for the price. Do not use this for prying. This is like a hard fillet knife. I would totally use this to clean small fish or cutting fibers or something. I bet it would make short work of a rope.

Simple. Clean. Elegant. Well made
First off I need to say I love this knife, especially for the price. Next I want to mention how easy it is to open. Yes, EASY! I have seen many reviews saying they can’t open it or they want to adjust the tension. DON’T worry. I read one review where someone said that the slot where the thumb stud is, is ANGLED. I took the advice and pushed slightly upward rather than straight out, and the blade flew out with hardly any pressure.! Please try this. I tried pushing flat to the left like most folders and I struggled. Pushed up a little as I pushed left and bingo, it opened again with ease. Please do NOT try messing with the tension or flicking your wrist. I with CRKT would put his in a little manual and ship it with the knife. -- Ergonomics, meh. It’s good but still has some hard edges. — Hard edges. Yea the bottom is pretty squared off. I’d love a little rounded edge. —- Craftsmanship. Excellent! The blade feels so smooth when closing also. Smooth and soft. The weight of it is nice, handle is great, placement of the clip is wonderful! — Liner lock. It frustrates me a tiny bit. My thumb has a difficult time pushing it over enough to close the blade. But I’ll get used to it. —-Sharpness. Yea it’s good. Of course you can sharpen it but out of the r box it’s just fine. I even love the false edge on top of the blade. Overall just a slim, classy, smooth, quality knife for less than $40. Don’t even hesitate to get it.

FANTASTIC FLIPPER KNIFE!
Bought the CEO Blackout a few months ago and have to say that "I LOVE THIS KNIFE!" Slick, elegant and incredibly-fun to fidget with, the CRKT CEO "Gentleman's blade" fits the bill when it comes to carrying knives in situations and places where more obvious blades wouldn't be appropriate. When I first got my CEO, it was awkward because I'd never had a flipper, it deployed stiffer than I thought it would and the liner-lock is so subtle that I found it hard to close, once it was open. However, after a few drops of gun oil on the pivot point and actually using the knife on a regular basis, it's now a JOY to use! It opens and closes like butter and, though it doesn't arrive super-sharp, is very easy to sharpen and holds a razor-sharp edge extremely well! And the Blackout's ebony blade just looks COOL on this knife! 😄 If you're not a big "knife person" — and even if you are — I highly recommend the CRKT CEO. It's a great EDC blade and I look forward to using it for years to come.

Slim profile, excellent quality
Purchased this knife based on the desire to have a low profile/slim knife I could keep in my small purse should any need arise. I live in a metropolitan city and am a working professional- wanted a knife to match that profile. First off- love the sleek and slim profile and matte finish. I probably won’t wear it in my shirt or pants pocket but a male could and it would really look like a pen. One of the things I really like about this is that it could probably pass a visual inspection by rent-a-security at concerts/games and disguise itself as a pen when clipped to something. Second- as stated, I’m a female and had NO problems using one hand to open & lock knife. It actually was perfect on the first try. However- being a narrow knife, I could see those with larger hands having troubles. Also- knife is lightweight. Won’t sag your scrub pocket too much. Third- shipped in true Amazon form- got it a day after I ordered it. Fourth- CRKT makes great knives. Been a fan for many, many years and bought all types of knives. Good quality/price point and always feel like the knife outlasts my ability to lose it. The only downside (and this is very small) is the clip does have CRKT lasered on it. If someone was savvy enough about knives, there would be no mistaking this for a pen. But it’s small and if you’re in that type of environment, clip it to your pants pocket I suppose.
