If you're looking for a good magnetic tape with medium staying power, this is it. This tape is easy to cut, easy to place, and works well. Just don't expect it to do any heavy jobs because it won't work on them. I'd originally bought it for a free-standing closet whose doors will not stay shut with the magnets that are installed in it at the factory. I thought that a nice long strip of this tape would do the job, but the closet is so poorly built that this wouldn't work on it. It stuck when I tried it alone, but when I put it onto the doors of the closet, it just didn't have the strength to keep it closed. However, I blame this on the closet's construction, not on the tape. I purchased some heavy duty magnets that are REALLY strong, and even they wouldn't keep this poorly designed closet shut. So the bottom line is that this is good tape with great medium strength capabilities and I'll have use for it in other places. But I won't expect it to work on heavy jobs.

These magnets saved my screen door. When the weather is nice enough, we like to use our screen door to let airflow through the house. The problem is that the screen is hard to see, & people and pets don't notice it when it is in use. This led to a few broken screens. Buying these magnets and sticking the strips to each other as a visual barrier has finally saved our new door! They Hold well. It's like a built in dog gate for well behaved dogs. I purchased 1/2 inch black ribbon to put on the adhesive side. Easy Peasy

I installed this tape on the ceiling around the whole house fan louvers (after cleaning the area with alcohol), and made a plastic cover with metal tape around its periphery, with the idea that I will be able to fairly easily remove and install the cover as needed throughout the year, and when installed, it would minimize air movement through the louvers, which fall closed by gravity when the fan is off, but definitely do not create anything close to an air-tight seal. The first pic shows the installed cover, and in the second pic you can see the magnet tape on the test piece that I used to convince myself that there would be enough force to hold the cover in place. It does stay in place, but I've already seen one corner of the cover come loose, probably due to a big puff of wind blowing into the attic vents and creating a pressure difference across the cover, so I will probably wish this tape had a little more magnetic holding power, but we'll roll with it for a while and see how it does this winter. I'll make sure to check it from time to time to make sure it stays in place. Thus, it remains to be seen whether it will work for this application, but all in all, it's handy stuff. It has a decent amount of flex so that you could install it around a curve if the radius is large enough, but yet it wasn't too hard to install it in a pretty straight line in my case. Update: was going to reduce the rating from 4 stars to 3 because after only several days, the adhesive failed to hold and the cover fell (fortunately it is very light so nothing was damaged). I bought some 1/2" wide 3M foam mounting tape, cleaned the plastic surface again with alcohol, installed the mounting tape, and then installed the magnet tape to the mounting tape, let that sit overnight, and then reinstalled the cover. It's been 4 days and everything is holding well (which is promising because a storm came through last night and didn't dislodge it), which indicates that the magnetic holding power may be sufficient and is the reason why I left the rating at 4 stars. So now we wait (again).

I should've read the reviews before buying. First, the dimensions and thickness of the tape is as described. The adhesive is not strong. I used alcohol to clean the area first. Even then the ends curled. So then i used hot glue on the strip and that worked. But the magnet was not very strong holding approx 3lbs. I used two 4" strips and it wasn't enough. Might be useful for a small very light project but not for my purposes.

I cut these into 2” x 54” long strips and I put them into the rod pocket of mosquito netting. I wanted the magnetic side to temporarily hold them in place on my garage door. I was only going to use the magnetic side, not the adhesive side. Other reviews about the lack of magnetic strength are correct. It appeared to work but they just wouldn’t stay in place. I’m still giving 3 stars because I know my use was odd.

I'll be using this for measuring fences on woodworking tools and jigs for "relative adjustable" zero reference. Tested good with Starett steel tape L/R rules. I can relocate/reset the tape rule when necessary. Things occasionally get out of calibration. I can recalibrate the rule instead of a curser. Easy replacement if the rule gets beat up, too.

No es tan magnético como el típico imán pero es funcional para la mayoría de superficies, el adhesivo no es el mejor pero aguanta, lo considero una buena adquisición si quieres adherir algo ligero al metal de ventanas y otras estructuras de metal sin dejar pegostes y siendo fácilmente removibles y reutilizables, personalmente los utilicé para mosquiteros y funcionaron perfectamente, eso sí, la cantidad se acabará más rápido de lo que se puede anticipar

Colle bien et reste coller après 6 ans. Je m en suis servie dans des environnements aride pour ce genre de choses ( roulotte, bateau, garage, auto ) il est toujours coller et en bonne états. Je suis agreablement surpris
