Received the small version but it is too small for a small hamster to run around in comfortably and this was clear just on a visual inspection.The ball arrives in two halves and a cap. The box states putting it together is a simple "click together" but back in the 1960's I single handedly built Apollo 13 in less time; from scratch.Having turned grey and grown the world's longest beard (after being cleanly shaven), I managed to get the two halves together but the "clips" don't lie flat and stick out a bit inside the ball and out.Having now gone through and buried 15 hamsters whilst putting the ball together, I realised the ball wasn't going to do the job for hamster number 16 and have decided to return it, which, on reflection, is a good idea as it was for my daughter but she's since grown up, graduated, had a family and retired.Hopefully, someone will be able to put it together faster than me and it might very well suit their needs as it looks like it cold be fun.

I bought this item based on the positive reviews left from other customers. Initial putting together was incredibly fiddly but after 5 mins or so, it finally came together. Hei-Hei, our Syrian hamster seemed to love it, winner! It wasn’t until the 2nd time she was in it, she ran into an internal door and left a massive crack in one of the ball doors. Then same again and one of the clips fell off so we can’t use it now. Was a bit annoyed when I found the exact same ball and size in Pets at Home for only £10!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice and big for large Syrian hamster but not as sturdy as I'd have liked - my 9yr old broke one of the closing clasps by dropping the ball on a carpeted floor before we'd even bought the hamster! Combination of super glue and gaffer tape fixed it and works fine!

Excellent size it’s roughly the size of a football. My Syrian hamster can run in it with no curve and is completely flat. Only downside was it was very hard to initially put together and took two of us as the clips are hard to do. Once together feels sturdy though

Bought this for my daughter, initially I thought it was too big for her Syrian hamster however it is perfect and they have had hours of fun. A wee bit tricky putting it together however I'm sure that's because it we don't want any escapees...

So I purchased the large ball, which was huge and useless and very recently purchased the medium ball. This is much better for a dwarf hamster, it’s sturdier then other see through balls. Beware, it’s tricky to put together, patience and strong krypton factor skills required! Hamster is exercising in the ball, so overall I’m happy. A bit on the expensive side though.

Honestly I nearly lost the will to live putting this together it nearly got thrown in the bin it was awful :( but I did it and our hamster loves it so would recommend :)

Brilliant product. My hamster loves it and will happily crawl inside to explore as soon as he spots it. Good way to let him have more time out of his cage without crawling into unsafe spaces. Ball is sturdy and I cannot see it falling apart any time soon. One of my favourite purchases
