It fits well and is flush with the bottom of the camera. A bit on the large side and at 100g it could have been made a bit lighter. Also doesn't really match the matt paintwork on the camera. None of these things are really bad but all together and taking into account its over £60 I decided it didn't work for me. Bought a very nice looking leather half-case instead that, despite being made of leather with a metal baseplate, was 40g lighter.

Want a combined grip/tripod mount for your Sony? This is the answer! I often use my Sony A7R IV on a tripod, so prefer to keep an Arca-Swiss plate attached. Also, although Sony has improved the ergonomics of its A7R cameras over the years, it stubbornly ignores one problem: the cameras are too short for your hand: this grip fixes that, so your little finger has somewhere to rest, improving comfort. This combined plate/grip is well designed and made out of solid aluminium with no no sharp or awkward edges that dig into your hands, and matching the contours of the camera. It also has nice features like leatherette on the grip and a magnetic Allen key holder. The hinging grip over the battery compartment - although not designed for this - adds handy storage: I store a lens cloth in it! Couldn't be happier with this!

Fits well and is and is very solid but I found it a bit too chunky for my use.

Adds just enough depth to aid holding camera and a large lens. Love the way it folds out the way to change batteries, ideal if you don't want the weight of a full grip, but do need a little extra depth. Feels and look well made.

The grip part really improves the handling of a camera, but... I have ordered 3 of these and each has been missing the vertical 'L' part of the bracket. I spoke to Amazon who said the stock would be changed but after a month it is still the same. If you order this don't be surprised if its not complete. As of writing this (March 21) there are apparently 7 in stock. Once this number goes up I will try again.

As another review mentioned this bracket is incomplete. The grip is nice as it doesn't interfere with your pinky like other designs but is missing the L part to allow portrait mounting to an Arca Swiss tripod head.

Avoid you will start getting pain on the side of your hand after a while...Money wasted sadly
