Good quality cable. Last one lasted 2 years and 9 months before it started to split at the connector but it still works. Picked a new one up before it failed. Good price too. Anker ones last longer but are usually more expensive

This is still working after a few months of daily use. Didn't give it 5-stars because it is really slow for charging eg an IPad. Is that the USB-A or the length of the cable? The industry owes us better information.

Second purchase and has lasted me over a year and still fast at charging.

I bought a pair of the braided cables for their older USB compatibility with older portable power banks. What I liked: * The cables are long enough to be able to charge at a reasonable distance from the charging source * They do not tangle as easily as the rubber equivalent * They tend to fray less than the manufacturer's originals * They feel more like a premium product than the white rubber cables and should not discolour * They come with a small velcro 'tidy' loop enabling the cable to be wrapped into a tight loop as required * They charged all of my devices without a compatibility issue What could be improved: * The cables are a little pricey at just under £8 each, however on the plus side they are durable and should outlive the devices they are intended to charge Overall, I give five stars for the cables and I can certainly recommend them.

First day impressions - to be updated in due time... Now, usually when I look for a cable, instead of buying one of the myriad of unknown hard to pronounce brands I'd buy an Amazon Basic cable and so far, that's been a solid choice. This one didn't disappoint either. The cable is on first touch somewhat stiffer than what you're used to, but as you'd see on the photos, it is ticker too. Now, I'd choose thick and stiff before thin and flexible (ah, the words...) any day - it feels much sturdier and reliable. The braiding of course is making these cables stiffer to begin with, but compared to Apple's own braided version, it's reassuringly thicker too! The Lightning connector pads aren't gold plated, but they aren't on most manufacturers now, including latest Apple braided cables, so we can live with that. USB port pins seem to be though. It has nice cable strain relief added on both ends, which honestly beats me how Apple forgot to add on their braided version as seen on the photos and we all know how that's going to end. The big pleasant plus here is that both connectors have metal shells - feels incredibly more sturdier than a plastic one and they are with good thickness too. At the time of purchase, cost difference between this and the basic rubber plastic version of Amazon Basic Lightning cable was only couple of quid, so it's excellent value for money too! On the photos you'd see one of my old original Apple rubber cable that started decomposing in preparation for the inevitable while I'm still using it - this one my hopes are it will never get to that state.
