Works great as MP3 Player, FM use not so great.
First off, the product is awesome. Here's a few details you should know before you buy. I will post my comments with both a positive and negative (if any) opinion. This thing works with my Bluetooth 5.0 headphones just as good as my Google Pixel 3 XL does with one minor caveat: Range. If the device is not about chest level, you may experience loss of sound quality over time. This was not so much an issue for the first hour or so, but I used this while working an 9 hour shift, and the sound quality degraded on the bottom last 2 hours of the shift. Battery life was awesome though. Even past the end of my shift, it still retained over 60% power and the thing was non-stop running all 9+ hours. My headset battery life was at 85% but didn't experience the same issues with the Google Pixel 3 XL when ran for the same duration. I'm confident it was the MP3 player. The MP3 Player has a recording feature on it that enables when the slider switch is turned on. Once on, you can't really do anything else until you turn it off. It's easy to prevent, but anyone who doesn't know this may find it hard to figure out what's going on. Also, the associated arm strap that you can order with this device does not given you access to the recording switch. Furthermore, the switch can be turned on when you slide it into the arm strap. This can be a bit of an annoyance. The switch would have been better placed on the top or bottom, but that's my opinion. The the screen is not a touch screen. The touch sensitive buttons on the bottom (not part of screen) operate the device. With that said, it is flat, both on the bottom and top. The device is relatively small, light, and significantly thinner than the average smart phone. This is a good thing. There is an FM feature for this device and it does work. However, they do not advertise this one limitation about it. You MUST have a wired headphone connected to the MP3 player to get any FM signal as it uses the wire as an antenna. This is indicated in their manual. I have not tried to see if the Bluetooth audio will still work with the wired headphones, or how it may impact battery life. Furthermore, the arm strap (bought separately) does not provide good access to connect a wired headphone to this MP3 Player. Over all, I'm rather happy with this product. I'm not so happy with the arm strap but that is for a different review. In my opinion, the product is totally worth the purchase if FM functionality will not be your primary use of it.

Good, inexpensive Bluetooth 5 compatible mp3 player -- so far
I wanted an inexpensive Bluetooth 5 mp3 player that'll work with my "newer" noise cancelling ear buds. This little mp3 player is small, sleek/rounded, has Bluetooth, relatively long battery life. Very nice. Pros Build quality is not bad, but this is not a waterproof | water resistant | water anything item. Bluetooth 5 compatible Lots of room for music right out of the box [32GB] Has memory card slot to extend storage [to 128GB]. You can load mp3 files directly onto the device, it displays as "USB Disk" on a computer when you charge it up for the first time, if your USB port is on a computer/laptop [or a docking station]. Just drag a couple of random mp3 files into the root of "USB Disk" and navigate to play music. It'll find the songs. All while it's charging. Yay! Apparently, it's also a radio, a voice recorder, and it plays audio books and videos. Okay! Cons Not a touch screen, but anyone who plays with it for half a second can figure out the navigation. Manual is not great. There is nothing about how to load music onto the device. Nor is there anything about shuffle or how to move around a large music library. [Fair Play: I tried their web site to see if there was a better one online. Nope. Same one that came in the box.] Doesn't let you do anything while it's transferring files. Not a deal breaker, just sayin. Edit: Wasn’t sure about these things: Shuffle: Might be a thing on this device, I just haven't figured it out [yet]. Edit: shuffle works - you have to hit play at whatever song is first then go for it Music library: I'm winging it. Folders may or may not work. Edit: Yes, folders worked Transfer speeds: Wildly inconsistent. I'm still uploading ~25GB of files arranged in a handful of folders. It's been well over an hour. I've seen speeds between 177KB/s to 5.7MB/s. I'm not going to get all wild n crazy about it, it's a $35USD item. It's not going to be blazing fast, regardless of what the marketing types say. I'll let you know if it finishes... overnight. Edit: it finished successfully, I checked a couple of hours after. Bluetooth: Instructions are provided, but they do not specify whether the device will turn off BT automatically or if I'll be able to forget like always and kill the battery. Whee! I'll report back on that if I can. Edit: Yes, the device appears to turn BT off automatically when I disconnect my earbud.

Do not buy this. Buy something reputable instead.
This is my first time ever leaving a product review on Amazon. I feel so strongly about this item that I felt compelled to write a review to help manage other's expectations when buying this MP3 player. I purchased this item because the ratings were fairly good, and it seemed like an economical choice. However, when it arrived, it came in an exterior packaging that would be akin to something you would win at a carnival for throwing a plastic ring around the bottle, popping the balloons with a dart, or squirting the little clown dude with the squirt gun. The packaging was generic, with a fancy design but no brand or identifiable markings other than "Digitial MP3 Player". It was clear before opening that this was not a legitimate MP3 player from a reputable manufactuer. I felt like this was a door prize from a free raffle at the local Boy Scout jamboree. My alert-sensors immmediately kicked on. After opening the box and reading the directions, which are not logically printed in a mannner that a left-to-right english reader can understand, it was clear that this was not going to be an easy setup. Sure, the directions had a lot of words, but exactly zero words described how to get music files onto the device. It would not connect to a laptop over wifi (by design, and explicitly stated as a limitation in the instructions), and multiple laptops would not recognize it as an external storage when plugged in with the provided USB cable. After closer examination, it became evident that music must be introduced into the unit through an SD card, which was installed in the side of the unit, as provided by the manufacturer. Now, trying to get the SD card out of the player.... That was an effort in itself. Thank goodness I hadn't cut my fingernails recently, otherwise I would have had to go get a screwdriver to poke into the guts of the player to pry the little bugger out after engaging the spring release. It's has to get shoved waaaaaaay down in there for the release to actuate. So with card now out, I have to search for my own SD card adapter so it can get plugged into my laptop. So I can save music to it. So it can then get jammed back into the guts of the MP3 player. Which if you mistakenly insert it backwards, it comes very close to breaking the SD card, and it doesn't have a picture or anything to help you discern which way the SD card goes in. Did the printed directions come in handy here? Uh, not a chance. But I digress... I'm getting to the good part. So I insert the SD card into my laptop, and the card mounts. And then all heck breaks loose with my virus scanner. Yep. This card from the factory MP3 player has now infected my computer. Full triage mode to stop the bleeding. Do yourself a favor. Don't skimp on an MP3 player. Buy one from a reputable company. Buy one where you can actually verify that the manufactuer is a legitimate business. Don't buy this MP3 player. Don't be like me.

Takes some getting used to
I bought this for my elderly mom a year ago but quickly realized she would be unlikely to navigate the user interface. I also would not recommend this for kids less than 10 years old. As you can see from images on other reviews, there are icons toward the top of the screen. These do not respond to touch. Instead, those icons are navigated by touching the direction indicators on the lower side of the screen. With a little experience, this is not difficult and I don't mind it at all and frankly do not see it as a drawback. Being able to listen to music with the built in speaker is a real plus. This is a light weight, small device so do not expect concert hall sound quality, but I find the sound acceptable and often carry it in my shirt pocket to listen to music, or set it on the kitchen counter while I wash dishes. The bluetooth works nicely to use earbuds or a BT speaker. There is also an earphone jack for wired connection. I never thought I would watch mp4 video content on this device, but I recently have found this to be quite nice. I wouldn't watch a movie on it, but listening to a talk and being able to see the speaker is actually more enjoyable than I thought it would be. There is an app on the device that can be downloaded to a computer in order to convert videos to .amv, the format that the device reads. I am sure most users will just use this device to play mp3 music files, but I find the mp4 capability to be very nice for my use. I did run into a couple of problems with this device. After a while using it, I found I would need to reset the device fairly often after I switched it off. This is done by inserting a paper clip into a tiny hole next to the microusb port. Another problem I had was that at one point I had let the device sit for more than a month and then I was unable to recharge it. This is a common problem with lithium rechargeables and when I researched on the internet I was able to coax the battery back to accept a charge. There are YouTube videos that explain how to do this. After that, I found a workaround that works for me. I just keep the device on and each night I plug it into a charger. It's been a couple of months since I started doing that and I have had no further problems. Loading mp3 music files is a breeze. Just plug the device into your computer and navigate to the device in Windows file explorer. Drag and drop or copy and paste mp3's. It's that easy. The device has 32Gb built in and even has a slot to insert a memory card, which I doubt people will even need. I have a lot of music on my device and there is still a ton of space left in the built in memory. I have not used the radio, voice recorder or ebook features. I was pretty unhappy with this device when I found I had to reset it or when I was unable to charge it, but after overcoming those issues (explained above) I have been really pleased with the device and use it daily. At one point I contacted customer support and received a prompt reply that they 'would get back to me'. It is probably unrealistic to expect much support on a device in this price range. Overall I would recommend this device. Keeping it turned on and putting it on the charger daily have been helpful to me. Having an mp3 player is a nice convenience as opposed to simply using a cell phone to listen to music. Good luck!

A lot of features in an MP3 Player
The Aiworth 32gb mp3 player is a pretty solid value. It comes with a 32gb microSD card already but that is in fact upgradable in case you want more storage space. It reminds me of the last gen of the Sony MP3 Walkman but with a much sleeker and more functional approach. It’s impressive what you can do with this unit: listen to mp3s via headphone & built-in speaker, record, listen to and tune radio stations (with headphones attached), stopwatch, calendar, read TXT files, watch AVI files… all with Bluetooth support. It’s not a smartphone nor does it claim to be, so don’t expect a touch sensitive screen. It has light-up buttons below the main screen that allow you to navigate around and make your selections. Note: If you remove the sticker (as I did) you get a super sleek black bar of electronics… that is very easy to forget which way is up. The screen is small so reading a full book would be challenging at best, but it is legible and the fact that you can store some passwords is kind a slick feature. Likewise, video file viewing isn’t terrific, but the fact that you CAN means if you are in a place that doesn’t allow smartphones, or your phone is dead, it’s a nice backup to be able to slot in your micro SD card to this unit. Also, at times it looks like there is a graphic equalizer bumping in sync to your music, but it’s more of a repeating image so don’t expect an accurate visual representation of your music. Adding in a mass of songs and having it shuffle around works, and it can also take your songs that are organized into directories and play them back sequentially as well. It’s funny to think of how much I used to agonize over playlists before… especially now that we have access to on-demand streaming services. However, I found traveling and losing cell service means the Aiworth player is my rock-solid backup if I need to pull out some of my favorite music. I was unable to import any kind of playlist (m3u, etc.) from my main computer so the only option was to do it on the device, which is a bit clunky. This has been the case though for pretty much all of the mp3 players I have owned over the years (all have had proprietary playlist creation) so I can’t really fault them for that. There was mention of an alarm feature in the instructions but every time I tried to make it function it was either too quiet or failed to go off, but thankfully I wasn’t in need of that. Connecting the unit to a Bluetooth speaker is quite easy, and having that feature makes this a great second device to keep in a bathroom synced to a speaker in case you wanted some tunes while you shower. Another reviewer mentioned that the volume can be too low in a noisy environment and I can kind of agree, but I tried a few different sets of ear & headphones and found that ones that were more firmly in your ear canal worked fine for loudness. Using on-ear and over-ear options both were loud enough for me. Basically, if your earphones have rubbery wrap around them you should be set. Also, it’s underrated that it has a built-in speaker. The speaker won’t win any awards, but it allows you to hear sound stored on the device. It is a great way to record someone and then play back for them what they said quickly, or share a song without having to share earphones. In addition to being able to play back audio files (and it does this well with the addition of the configurable equalizer to suit your audio tastes), you can also do recording very easily. Sliding the side button puts you into record mode and you can choose the quality settings and away you go. I had it fully charged from dead in about 1.5 hours and got about 7-8 hours of playback before it was dead again, so close to what is advertised. It’s a good value at regular price and if you can find a discount it becomes an even better value. It plays MP3s well, and it has a nice list of other features it does too, so it is one to consider.

This product works and performs as described .
I have only written a couple reviews in my time. I felt this one was of those times due to many negative reviews. I always had iPods and was really skeptical about buying something like this. This mp3 player does exactly what I need. It plays music in my car and to my headphones. It is super easy to use and transfer files to. The sound quality when hooked up to headphones or directly to the car via aux cable or usb connection is supreme. Sounds better then the old ipod in my opinion. The bluetooth connection (to my car) is not the best. It is really low, if you turn the player volume all the way up the sound gets very distorted and sounds terrible. I use the aux cable or the usb connection anyways. This player does support all of the files it lists. However, some files will only play over the bluetooth...like .flac files. Not all file types play from the aux/usb connection. There are a lot of reviews that are negative but its due to user error and lack of knowledge on how to use the product. If you are looking for a mp3 player that works and sounds great, this is the one, unless you only use bluetooth products. You def lose sound quality and volume. 5 stars all day for me, I dont use bluetooth. The price is way better then forking over 300 plus for an ipod just to play music.

Navigation and User Interface is Ridiculously Bad
There are just too many things wrong with this unit to give it more than 2 stars. I suppose the sound quality is acceptable although the volume doesn't go high enough in certain situations. The real problem is the user interface and button functions, which are whatever the opposite is of user-friendly. When playing anything, the screen goes dark and the touch screen buttons de-activate after a short period of time forcing you hit the start button again before you have access to any functions ..... then there's a long delay between when you hit any of the function buttons before the unit responds. That makes you sometimes think that you missed the button, so you hit it again and seconds later realize you've hit it twice and now have to work backwards. There's no practical fast-skip function if you are scrolling through file folders, e.g. trying to get to the p's in an alphabetically aligned folder, so you have to slowly slog through the entire alphabet ..... same thing if you're listening to a lengthy file like a long podcast ---- there isn't a genuine fast-forward function to get to a spot later in the program (there is a button for it but it moves slowly in 1 minute segments and takes forever) ..... I would also defy anybody to use this device without having to look down at the screen to find the proper buttons (or even know if they're activated), which is a big problem when walking/jogging or driving. My previous unit, a Sandisk, had issues of its own, but was at least MUCH simpler and far more user-friendly. I suppose for the price, you can only expect so much from this Aiworth, but even at under $40, I found it endlessly frustrating and not worth the trouble. Summary - try something else.
