The part is fine, but I don't see any advantage to using the metal clip included. It seems to me like it would place an added strain on the belts and cause the to wear out sooner.

I lost the original item that came with my bands. I would venture to guess that this anchor is three times stronger than my old one; you could tow a truck with this thing.

This stays in place. Works great. I use with my long flat loop resistance bands. I put them through and hook above my door so that I can do various pull down, out, and up exercises.So far it hasn't come out of the door nor has it left any marks.
