First of all, don't buy this on Amazon. They cost like $6 a bag at Home Depot or Lowes. The insane markup is obviously due to shipping cost, making this a senseless product to buy here.Regarding the bags, they're awesome. I own a 2019 Ford F150 single cab short bed. Even with General Grabber a/t tires, the truck is downright dangerous in rain. I'm a skilled driver who has owned a variety of cars, including a RWD Grand Marquis for several years, and I have found it difficult to safely drive my truck in rain around the many incline turns and back roads where I live in PA without a feeling like the back end is about to break loose. This is with no weight in the bed, and the smaller size of my truck.I built a wooden frame to keep the bags over the rear wheels and not sliding around the bed, and filled the frame with 360 lbs. of tube sand bags (6 of them). The change is night and day. The truck feels stable and grips through any turn now. We've gotten two days of non stop rain and I've had a good opportunity to test out my new setup. No more tire spin and loose rear in any of the spots I normally have problems (uphill freeway ramps, small hills at stop signs, off camber turns, etc.) Aside from grip, the weight has really cut down on the bouncy rear end and contributed to more stable dry handling too. It's balanced out the front to rear weight distribution and you can feel it. Lastly, it's helped level the rear of the truck a bit as it had terrible rake from the factory, pronounced by the short, small size of the truck. I'm so glad I invested in this. The six bags and lumber were about $50 and worth every penny for the superior driving experience. No noticeable drop in fuel economy, or issues with acceleration or braking. I have the 5.0l so it gets up to speed no problem even with the extra weight. If you have a truck and hate driving in the rain, or even if you don't but want a more stable, balanced ride, buy some of these and secure them with a cheap wood frame over the rear axle.
