If you want to here what 40.0 DBA sounds is like generally (not specific to the (950vaunit) you can search on line for this. **Q: Will this power a 5 amp at 500 watts amp** A: Dear APC Valued Customer, I am not sure I understand what you mean. This UPS BX2200MI maximum capacity is 1200 watts. So 5 amps are already very near its capacity. What we normally recommend is to use only 80% of its capacity to avoid any overload.
