The shower head and hose is plastic with chrome paint, black mold builds up in the hose. The shower head 7-settings turning it to change settings does not last. The interior part in the shower head, the aerator flips backwards then the water will not come out the shower head, you can not remove the aerator to flip around, I phoned the company. The hose leaks at the connection, and does not even twist on all the way leaving threads exposed. The shower head with filter is too heavy for the holder, the holder keeps drooping down, and that is not safe,because the holder is not designed to hold such a heavy shower head with filter. If the shower head with filter falls from the holder and falls on your head or foot, that is very dangerous. The filter leaks the contents out and sprays your skin with tiny sand like metal pellets.I have had three of these Biarritz, the interior shower head plastic part, the aerator inside, flips totally around then the water no longer comes out the shower head, it can’t be flipped around so the only choice is to throw the shower head in the trash.Defective design, poorly made, all plastic collects mold in the hose,The shower head interior plastic parts break inside so you can not turn the head to use the 7-setting spray.It’s the design flaw, I do not recommend purchasing the Biarritz 7-setting hand held shower with filter. Cheaply made throw away product, the shower head with filter is too heavy for the holder, the holder can not hold the weight so the holder hangs down from the weight and the shower head is not upright it droops down,making it very dangerous.

This works great and looks Gooood. I bought a smaller one years ago. It was the same brand and it did fabulously. It was easy to get refills at Home Depot also. I like this one best because it has a larger head and makes me feel like I am in a spa. Yes it truly is easily installed with your hands. It even comes with a small amount of pipe tape, but only one rubber washer. 2 or three would be best to make sure there will not be drips later. This filter shower head, this brand in particular because it filters out all the unnecessary bad things- chlorine etc. I have used this happily in the Chicago area- and we have the best water filtration system in the world and also in Tucson area, which has one of the worst systems. I like it a lot. The head and cord never tarnished on the old one in 10 years.

I always use a filtered shower head to get out the chorine and other contaminates in my water supply. This shower head is the fourth I've bought in many years. The only reason I replaced it was that I dropped the old shower head and broke it. This one is far wider and feels more like a rain head shower. Because it's bigger it is heaver and it's hard to keep it in a more upright position. It does smell like petroleum jelly due to the sealant they use. Be prepare to put lots of pressure on the head holder. The great effect is more shower spray choices. The new ones don't waste water or spray the shower door as much.

This was so easy to install and has great pressure and options. My hair and skin are less dry with this filter!

Yes as stated here already the shower head is so heavy it falls forward. It does feel like cheap parts. Came recommended but now that I read comments I’m wondering if this will last long. I had bought years supply of cartridges too. Water feels great though so there’s that. Hard to believe people are buying more than one after they fail?

This is about our 4th one the last one purchased in June (6 mos ago) and it is leaking again. I will buy another but I think we may need to look at alternate options too.

I love it. I can "smell the absence" of chlorine when I use it, and I can tell it's much better for the skin. It claims no tools are required for INSTALLATION, and that is true. However, you have to REMOVE the old shower head from the arm first, and that has always required a wrench (for me anyway). Other than that all is as described and promised. Another big plus is the ease of changing the filters compared with other filter shower head designs I have used in the past, which have been a major hassle/struggle.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this to help prevent mineral buildup in my hair and wow does it work! I have 2B/2C hair and have been bleaching and colouring for 10+ years and I wish I had bought this long ago. My hair has never felt softer or healthier between salon visits.The MAJOR Downside is my $20 shower head from Walmart had 3-4X the amount of water pressure which I was NOT expecting. After the first use I was incredibly disappointed and was going to return it thinking filtered shower heads must not be for me. However, my laziness got the best of me and after a while I got used to having what feels like zero water pressure. But maybe that's just the price one pays for a filtered shower head.My other concern is after 1 month of using this, I started noticing a hissing sound coming from behind the wall of my shower after I turn off the water. I tried running the tub faucet after the shower in case it was a building too much pressure in the lines or something but that didn't change the hissing so I've just accepted it. (I do have plans to ask a plumber and do some research about this)

I like the handle and the pressure, good and durable quality.
