I've looked high and low for a Black+Decker battery for my Black+Decker weed whacker that would fully snap in the slot and work, and the one Amazon sent me today works, and it made my day. The after market ones I bought work in my leaf blower, but not the weed whacker. According to Black+Decker support the same battery should work in both my devices. When I ordered the after market ones with the same code it worked in one device, but not the other. I was beginning to feel I'd never find a new battery to fit the weed whacker, and would have to toss it out. So I just want everyone to know to keep looking for the same model battery, you just might have to find an original Black+Decker battery to get it to work.

Recently received. Full battery charge. GREAT Upright Black and Decker Vacuum Cleaner. Excellent on Carpets or hardwood flooring - Recommend purchasing. No Need to Run Battery all the way down. Battery has no memory. Charge when low or whenever. Don`t leave Battery in Charger even if unplugged. Remove after charging fully and store in a cool dry place

I initially ordered this because I got an adaptor to convert my Grasshog weed eater from Ni-Cad to lithium batteries and the original lithium I bought at the time of getting the adaptor will no longer charge. The batteries themselves are decent quality ones (4 stars) if you end up with new ones that are recently manufactured. I say the word “if”, because in past orders I received one that is four years old from other places (HD), and that battery would not charge. Luckily, my B&D battery charger immediately detected the battery as being bad, as the battery would not charge at all, which I immediately returned and got replaced. I noticed that there is a year of manufacture on the batteries and packaging (in this case from AMZ was 2022 and was still bad, and one previously from HD was from 2019, and it is the middle of 2023). This seems to be a vendor problem all over as these may sit on the shelves for a long period before being sold. I suggest checking the batteries right after arrival to make sure you get one that hasn’t been sitting in the warehouse for a long period of time and you end up with an old/bad set like I did or just end up with a bad battery in general. Quality control and date of manufacture seem to be an issue with the batteries. The replacement I got is good and works fine and should in theory last 3 to 5 years before needing replacement. The key is to make sure you receive a freshly manufactured one. I do think these batteries are pricey at nearly 50 bucks each. 4 stars (if you get a fresh battery)

I have a Black and Decker cordless vacuum. I bought it in 2021 and it doesn't get used too often as it's for the basement floor. I can't say exactly how many times the original battery was charged. I believe this battery is the same as the original. Lets say that in 4 years, I used the vacuum about 3 times per month. That's 144 charges and not from completely drained.
