Edit: After some minor adjustments, this forge is more than capable of forge welding heat. The burner is great and super easy to adjust. It will get hot enough to forge weld small stock. There are a couple of downsides. It's a bit smaller than I'd like, could be a bit wider. The refractory coating they give you is garbage. Mines been fired up and used a couple dozen times and the coating is already coming off in spots. Part of it is do to it being so small, if you even bump the side the refractory just falls off. Get some satanite to coat it with. My big forge is coated with satanite and it's held up for years.
