Didn't work for me
Did not work. Thought it was my cable, bought a new one, still didn't work. Bought a new laptop with built in ethernet port and the cable DID work so it had to be the adapter. Unfortunately my return window was 2 days ago before me and my tech guy realized it. Going into recycling bin... Serve no other purpose.

Can't beat the price. Work as intended
I have 2 sets, 1st set has been used to connect my camera system to my TV for well over a year. Just added a set behind a hdmi splitter to run my outdoor TV. Using Cat 5 and the longest run is probably 35-40 feet of wire behind a powered splitter to a powered hdmi switch. Theses are not intended to be stand alone ethernet to hdmi adapters. They have to be used as a set, tx(transmit) at source rx(recieve) at TV. Some reviews sound like people have the wrong idea how they work.
