Let's start with: The finished product is awesome 5/5.Installing the light kit is more complicated than building the actual set in my opinion. The instructions are clear and have good step by step pictures, however this isn't something you are going to knock out in 10 minutes. Just be aware of that.Things you should know:- buy contact cement / super glue /small brush There are a few places (under awnings / roof alcove) that I found do not stay put well with the double sided sticky tape. A bead of super glue will be all you need here. I am not going to list all of them because it will become obvious to you when you start building it. This probably isn't 100% necessary but it made my life way easier.- Buy a USB extension and a timer Glue the final distribution block to the rear of the set. Connect the supplied USB to an extension, and than to a 12 hr wall timer (12 hr cycle). This will make the lights turn on/off with the day cycle. This is ideal for display purposes.- Mind the distribution blocks and the cabling These are very tiny parts. They are not incredibly fragile, but if you man handle them you could break them. Do not force the plugs, you will know if it is the right way by the way it feels when you push them in. Mind where and how you run the wires. There are a lot of them and if you rush through it you are more likely to make a mistake.- Test as you go After you finish a section, test it before you put the roof back on section by section. Also keep the original instruction from the Lego build kit as a reference it can be useful.Happy Halloween

Let me start off by saying, once this light kit is assembled and completed it looks amazing. But, finishing it takes many hours and lots of tedious work. If you are looking for a little bit of a project this is perfect for you but if you’re not into tedious and sometimes stressful work this probably isn’t for you.

This was a gift for my teen granddaughter who already had the Lego kit for the White House. She had to do quite a bit of dismantling the completed building, but she loved building and adding the lights. It took her several hours to finish, but she had a grand time. She said the instructions were clear - not hard to follow.

Although it did look pretty when it was done, it is important to note what it takes to install these lights. The wires and LEDs themselves are insanely small and you almost need a magnifying glass to install them. They are very tricky and require a lot of attention to detail. While installing, I encountered an issue with bricks no longer aligning (as shown in picture) but that could just be my fault. I lost my mind a few times trying to install it but I did get it in the end. That being said, it’s a really cool addition to the set but I would not consider it worth the time and money for people who just like to display the few sets they have. The instructions as well are just zoomed out pictures of what needs to be done so some times, what it wants is unclear.It comes with both a battery pack and a USB cable in case you want to leave it on for extended periods of time which is nice.A cool addition to the set nonetheless so I will give it 4 stars.

This is much easier to install than the competition kit. All of the wires were long enough unlike the one for the friends set that I ordered from their competitors then had to return because every wire was too short. I quickly ordered the brIxmax version for my friends set. Highly recommend brix Max

First time user, was a little hard for me to use with such big fingers, but I eventually got most of the lights installed. Overall it was fun, and it really brings out the Lego display.

Installed correctly and lots of troubleshooting, lights don’t work, narrowed down to one bad strip, but I’m out of patience
