Accu Chek Performa Blood Glucose Meter and Lancing Device Fast 5 Second Test

Working as an independent EMT, i found this product to be one of the best Blood glucose monitors out there. I have matched it to other monitors and results in similar readings. Large font readings makes it easy for most to see. Readings are also stored with date and time making it easy for someone to go back and look at previous results. Comes with 10 strips, buying more through amazon is easy and convenient. Test strips are slightly larger than others i have used which makes handling them easier. Case is no different than any others out there, fairly durable, comes with a zip pocket and an additional side pocket. Standard limitations apply such as if BG is over 400 to 500 will read high or if to low will display low. If in cold weather monitor will need to be rewarmed to work. I have been using it for now over a year and is overall a great product. Would buy again if needed.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this glucose meter is inconsistent. I would say completely inaccurate. The numbers were almost double what they should have been. One fasting reading was 140, at the same time I did a reading on a reliable glucose meter, and it was 89, same measurement units (mg/dl). This happened repeatedly. I contacted the manufacturer for some guidance, they said this unit is an international unit, not made for the US. I requested testing control solution drops to be able to see if it was a strip issue or a monitor issue, they said there is no control solution sold for this unit, in the US.I would NOT recommend this glucose meter. It could actually be dangerous with such inaccurate readings.

Price is great and works great, What is most important, that strips are unexpensive!

I am a recently diagnosed diabetic, so I thought I would get this Accu-chek to keep an eye on my sugar levels. I've had this for about 2 weeks and its been working fine. Well it seems I was a bit hasty about giving this a good review, now every time I use it I get an error message E-1, after every test. When I pull it out and reinstall it I get error message E-6. This thing just will not work for me, so I've returned it.

This is my first ever review about any product on Amazon. We have been using this machine from last 1 month or so. I took back to back blood sugar readings today morning of the patient, and the machine showed 4 different readings. 109, 104, 95, 103. Tell me which reading should I trust on.It has happened before too that we got readings in a similar fashion.Very disappointed.

This is the worst monitor ever! I have replaced the battery 4 times in one month. I just tested my blood and got error 7. Retested, error 6, retested error 1 twice. A waste of strips. Do not buy this monitor. Even worse is that Amazon does not allow returns on medical devices. Out a lot of money.

So this product arrived on time, came with instructions in English very useful and seems to do the job, so much better service that some of the other vendors on Amazon who advertise in English and then supply in another language. These guys stick to their plan and do a great jo . Definitely would buy from then again

It's opened before I received. The needle is not the same model. Don't waste time and money.
