This is 100% a no-regret purchase for me. It's solid, has great variable power that's controlled solely by your trigger finger, making adjustment very intuitive and easy. I also love the surface and quality of the build. Cleaning is so convenient, and this is probably why I've ended up using this on a daily basis. Twisting off the blade portion is effortless, and it gets cleaned off immediately, easily, and done. It takes 10 seconds to clean. My sister saw me use it once and ordered one immediately. She loves hers, too. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again.

Perfect addition to my beverage/coffee bar. Works great for blending matcha and mixing milk/syrups into coffees. Easy to use. Be sure to clean after each use by swirling in a cup of warm soapy water.

I have used it for the last several months and find it easy to use. It effectively chops and reduces solids to semi-liquids and nicely incorporates them into my soups, sauces, etc. My only complaint is that taking the blender apart for cleaning and storage can be a bit tricky.

We went through looking at two others before settling on this model and brand. The others were just extremely heavy and hard to hold for any length of time. This one does everything my wife wanted. If she's happy, I'm happy.

I just purchased this KitchenAid Variable Speed Corded Hand Blender KHBV53 in matte black. I use this 1-2 times a week. I ordered this immersion blender because my old Cuisinart blender(s) just stopped working. I have had two of those that have broken over time. They both eventually shorted out and they began to smoke. Time to move on! I decided to try the KitchenAid model because of the excellent reviews and because there is only one button to push to blend. I also like the rubberized pan guard because I usually use this immersion blender to make creamy soups, and the enamel coated surfaces of my high-end pots could get scratched by exposed spinning metal blade. I like how easy it is to attach the blender to the motor and how easy it is to attach the pan guard. The unit goes together and comes apart quickly. What really surprised me is how quiet this blender is compared to the Cuisinart model. I think they are comparable in weight and size. Another cool feature is the measuring cup with lid. This makes it very easy to make smoothies and salad dressings, and to store them. The lid fits snuggly and makes the measuring cup useful. This was a well thought out package. The item is a reasonable cost for the item. I was hoping for a KitchenAid like my daughter's, with a knob for speed control. I always use the slowest speed for mixing ice cream before freezing. The push button speed works fine.
