This Is A Great Meat Slicer!
I love this meat slicer. After finally getting tired of wasting a lot of money buying pre-sliced luncheon meats, I decided that it was time for me to invest in a meat slicer. I reviewed many meat slicers but the size, the construction and the price of this one caught my attention and I would be remiss if I did not note the number of great reviews.I am happy to note that I will be adding another great review. First and foremost, the ease of use is wonderful especially for a first timer like me who has never operated a meat slicer. I was so excited about the arrival of the product that I purchased a 4lb boneless turkey breast to use as my first test project. I seasoned my breast and slow roasted it. Then I put the breast in the refrigerator over night to allow the flavors to settle and the breast to chill. Of course this ensured that the breast was firm enough for the slicer. I could not believe just how smooth the slicer operated. I was able to get a nice quantity of slices out of the 4lb turkey breast which was enough to make some great tasting turkey and cheese sandwiches. Nonetheless, the clean was easy and almost effortless. I am so happy that I decided to purchase this item and I highly recommend this item. Get it now while the price is great and please do not assume that this item is not a good quality slicer because of the low price. This is a really nice slicer!

Used once, but very happy with it.
We bought this product to slice roasts. So far, we tried it on an "eye of round" roast. Cut half the roast in 3/8" thick slices; then after dinner we cut the remainder of the roast in 1/8" slices for french dip sandwiches. The slicer worked perfectly. No effort was needed to do the slicing. It's not as fast as a commercial deli slicer, but the speed was fine for home use.For cleanup, I removed the blade and washed it and the guard in the sink. I used a Costco disinfectant wipe to wipe down the rest of the machine. (I know that the Costco wipes are safe around food items. (no bleach)) I then rinsed the unit using a wet paper towel. Let it dry. Assembled it and put it away. The instruction manual doesn't tell you this, but the blade nut uses "left-hand threads". (Turn clockwise to loosen.) The blade is very sharp, so be careful.I'm not sure how long the unit will last, but I didn't detect anything being stressed by the first use.

Efficient low cost slicer for the average home chef.
I purchased this slicer for two reasons. First for the practical idea that I MAY use it a few times a month at most. For example hunting season and cost saving on slicing deli meat. The second is the cost. This is not a high end slicer but rather best for the typical home chef or hunter who likes to make the occasional batch of jerky. I received the slicer on time and in good condition. After precleaning for its first use I did notice the suction cups or fairly stiff which makes the slicer hard to stay still while in use. I found that if used on a granite counter top you are able to firmly press the slicer down allowing the suction cups to hold better thus it not sliding around. The slicer is easy to assemble or disassemble for cleaning or swapping the blade. There is a small spot at the bottom of the blade where it meets the meat slide where it is slightly difficult to clean but I used a Q-tip to get in the tight spots. It slices wonderfully. A little loud but bearable. The slides are easy to use. If I could change two things it would be the clear plastic press. When the meat is past the blade and the slice is complete I found that the meat would sometimes twist or spin as the blades friction and the blad screw would grab the meat. Maybe if the plastic press had few small triangle grips on the meat side this would keep the meat from spinning and allow for faster return motion. And secondly the thickness dial from being numbered from 0 to 15 to a more usefull unit of measure like millimeters or fractions of an inch. Overall I'm happy with the slicer in appearance, operation, ease of use and price. I recommend this slicer to the average home chef or hunter looking for an efficient and low cost slicer.

Good product
Used a couple of times and it worksnthe best when the meat is solid, not rock solid frozen but 50% frozen or so.I tried with raw meat and it slices to a various of thickness but recommend to freeze it first and slice them to your preference thickness.Cleaning wise, the blade come off and easy to clean and put it back but be careful not to cut yourself. The body, I usually clean it by putting some dish soap on the sponge and rinse off afterwards.Depends on the surface I think the machine's stability relies on.I thought this machine cuts to 2cm or 3/4" but its max thickness is 15mm.Overall a nice product.

Good until it wasnt.
The reverse nut that holds on the blade froze and broke… worked okay for about a year. Was messy but effective. Dont overtighten

Works great and a good value for home use.
Works great for a home version of a slicer. Have sliced about 15lbs of beef for jerky and cucumbers, onions and radishes for a salad. Easy to remove the blade for cleaning and a breeze to clean the rest of the machine.

Great quality and easy clean up
Easy to use and clean. Blade comes off without any tools. Tray slides smoothly and you can set it too shave meats nice and thin. I use it for making lunch meat from roasted and smoked meat from my smoker. I definitely recommend this slicer.

It slices.
I like the ease of slicing but the slices are not even because the backing is not straight. I also found that the picks to hold the meat in place are not holding the meat very well.
