It works well
It took a long time getting here although I believe that it was indicated they did not move very fast on sending. I found that to be true. The case supplied that holds the unit is flimsy and you must be very, very careful as it tears very, very easily when taking it out. I must admit I have no idea how to operate one of these. I was merely trying to reproduce a test I watched on youtube on earthing/grounding by mimicking their procedures and somewhat unsuccessfully. So I do not know if the Pocket Pro is defective or using a volt meter to prove earthing is off point. I did call the support line it was so so. But again the problem may be on my end.If I find an electrician I will up date.

SPERRY DM6450 MULTIMETER GREAT TIME AND COST SAVINGS
RECEIVED SAID UNIT ON TIME AND IT WAS IMMEDIATELY PUT TO USE ON CHECKING OUT A DIFFICULT BROKEN GROUND WIRE ON MY BOAT. IT WAS EASY TO USE WITH ALL THE FUNCTIONS THAT MOST NORMAL PEOPLE NEEDS. AFTER A REPLACEMENT GROUND WIRE WAS INSTALLED I NOW HAVE FULLY FUNCTIONAL TRIM TABS WHICH MAKES BOATING IN THE GULF OF MEXICO FUN AGAIN. ALSO, BATTERY CHECKS HAVE SAVED ME FROM DISCARDING PERFECTLY GOOD ONES INCLUDING ONES IN MY BOAT, SCOOTERS AND FLASHLITES.YES, I RECOMMEND THIS UNIT TO ANYONE WHO DOES ANY ELECTRIC DIAGONSTIC REPAIRS.

Do not buy . Made in china with non-existent quality control. This company is selling junk.
Arrived non functioning. Battery installedArrived non functional. Limited instruction which states no batteries installed ...., you have to down load and print your own from the internet. I checked battery compartment and found batteries. They were install with side contact flatten to the bottom of compartment. Repair problem and meter works sort,..... about half the time. Case is not flat... kind of undulating thin and thick. Pressing the fat part and some times makes the meter work and or changes setting. What is sad is the O was replace a meter(DM1) made by this company decades ago it was made in America and is of excellent quality it still works, although I have lost the owner manual just weeks. Wanted a new manual which is not on the internet. This new meter (DM2) is a total waste of money. Note to the CEO of this company.. make you product in the USA .... through away your MBA or hire someone who does not only think in terms short term profit. Put Americans back to work so that they can buy a product that is of good quaility.... And make a good meter .... stop selling junk. I can not trust that any meter made by your company will work correctly at any price.

Busy repair guy likes it
This is my big meter. I use it to repair large appliances and tune up AC. I determine the setting I use and it has not let me down. Has a big screen so this old blind tech can see it. This meter travels in a tool backpack and has survived the rude use it gets. I pull it out to use an average of ten times a day and every time it has given accurate readings. All of my Sperry meters have been worth mentioning.

Awesome Value
An awesome little tool, I can't believe I went this long without it. At this price this is one of the highest quality DMM's you can get your hands on. I am surpriesed that more people haven't bought it. I already have a bunch of Sperry tools so this fit right in.

Had one before, but it died in a year ...
Had one before, but it died in a year. Small enough that I carry it on my hip all the time in a leather pouch I made for it. Very handy for general maintenance. Got a 4 year warranty this time.

Low diode test voltage limits usability for hobyists.
A reasonably well built "cheap" meter, this is of course, made in China, but some good stuff is made there so thats not immediately a ding against it, just don't fool yourself into thinking that the company's USA address means this is a made in the USA meter, at this price theres no way it is. The test leads are OK, nice long wires and reasonably flexible, and everything is shrouded as it should be on a class II/III meter. Function knob has reasonable detents, but they are not positive enough to completely eliminate between-modes stops. The buttons are fine, and the red mode button in the centre of the knob is somewhat novel and has a a surprising snappy feel. The very large display is nice and easy to read and the probe-location reminder display makes it pretty idiot-proof. Voltage, ohm, and amperage readings agree with my other meters and known sources so it's at least accurate enough for non-critical use. My big gripe with this meter so far is that it's diode test function seems to operate at only ~1.5 volts. This is not high enough to sucessfully test most LEDs and many signal diodes. I'm not sure yet if I will return it, as the manual suggests that the diode test should operate at a much more useful ~3.0v. The battery included in the package is of the cheapest, lowest quality... still, it tests at 9.6V and if the battery voltage were low enough to effect readings it SHOULD be displaying a low battery warning. I'll give it the bennefit of a new battery before I throw in the towel, but if If the diode test does not work at more than 1.5v with a new battery I will return it and buy something different.Update: put a new high-quality battery in the meter and the diode test function still fails fo output more than 1.5 volts and is unable to test LEDs, I like the form factor and large display, but for my uses the diode test is an important feature and as such I will be returning the meter.
