They do not dwell on boring details, but very simply and clearly explains how each element of the CIC works and is customized. They also work through an easy to understand example. I think it would be very beneficial to have a sandbox installation of CRM to play with, but I could follow the book well enough using my development environment and following existing developments.. I did find 1 or 2 small errors in the SPRO paths(possibly due to the CRM version), but the listed transaction codes work perfectly. Even though I have not completed the book yet, I can already recommend it to any developer new to CRM. I have already used it as a handy reference and can see myself using it for quite a while still. This book is well worth investing in and all my developer team members are ordering their own copies. For example: They refer to the internal table in the class GT_BUFFER_BOOKING and not suppled table types. No way to know what is this table define in the class. Very hard to follow the examples when this kind of information is missing.
