OnePlus AC2003 Nord (5G) SIM-Free Smartphone with Quad Camera, Dual SIM and 2 Years Warranty, Onyx Grey, 8 GB RAM 128 GB – United Kingdom

I've had the (grey) Nord for a couple of weeks now, having previously owned Samsungs for about 10 years. My previous phone was the excellent Samsung Note 8. I actually intended to buy a Pixel 4a but the Nord happened to be beside it in the shop so I had a play with both phones. Within five minutes I had changed my mind and came home and ordered the Nord from Amazon (I didn't need the £10 sim the shop insisted I buy). The Nord is a great phone. Samsung S series quality, without the price. I really don't understand the negative comments about the phone from some people. The build quality is as good as any phone, flagship or otherwise. The screen is superb. The fast refresh rate makes my old Note 8 (which has an 8 series processor) feel sluggish. The battery lasts all day, unless you've got phone issues (I'm getting 10 hours screen on time). The Warp charging is amazing (70% in 30 minutes - so fast that I can't shower and dress with it on charge because I try not to fully charge it every day). The wifi connects in places that no previous phone every worked. The operating system is fast and intuitive. It takes two sim cards if and when we can every travel again (or you want personal and business numbers in the same handset). You can customise it to death. It plays games well. Telephone calls are crystal clear. My Samsung Buds work better with it than they ever did with my Samsung Note. What's not to like? It's a steal at the price. 5/5

I have a long story grab yo snacks and wear your glasses. One word to describe this phone “Game changing”! Last year i got a huawei p40 on contract because the camera and features look amazing but a huge factor I didn’t take into account was having no Google services on the OS. With apps being limited the cons weight out the pros and so enough was enough and I sold it on eBay. I then bought a Samsung a21 just so I could have Google services again and for that the phone felt better alone but the camera wasn’t anything exciting. I decided it was time to look into getting a better phone, so I did my home work and found this phone. Just for curiosity I compared the specs to the p40 pro and it turns out this is better minus 2mp on the main lens but who cares right xD This phone has changed my life with how fast it is the screen is fresh and very responsive. I’m a huge Pokémon go fan so to be able to go to areas where signal is weak is amazing because of this phone the games run so fluently and the graphics are crisp! The charging is so so fast for me my phone will charge fully in about 40 minutes tops! This is the phone I should of got last year and I regret not finding it sooner but I cant believe the price for what it offers its incredible. No complains from me at all I love the phone customisation and honestly think I’ve found my brand I’m gonna stick with for a long time!! Thank you OnePlus

Things I wanted for my next phone were: - Good Camera - Good Battery - Fair Screen for watching the odd YouTube vid on. Coming from the Galaxy S9 to this phone, it certainly delivers all this and more. The Battery is huge 4100mAh with my daily use can easily get a good Day & half out of it. Probably two days if i wasn't using it every 5 minutes. The Battery charges so fast i barely even remember the last time i charged the thing, 10 / 15 minutes its good for the day. The camera was good, recent software update from OnePlus polished the camera quality a huge bit. I've side loaded Gcam (Google Camera) software which makes the camera great. Its fast, snappy and responsive. The entire experience OnePlus delivers on this phone is superior. I think far superior to Samsung devices. Its the subtle tweaks / enhancements they make to the native google experience which make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. 10/10 will recommend to anybody in 2020. I'll never go back to a Samsung device for aslong as they keep shipping the rubbish Exynos chips to EU customers. SnapDragon is and will always be King.

Moved from the at the time similarly priced OP3 to the Nord, very happy so far. Down side is lack of 3.5mm audio jack and the front LED alert I enjoyed on the OP3, but it has a great display, runs apps much faster as you'd expect and the camera setup is far superior. Not a big gamer, use primarily for social media, web browsing, camera etc, and it handles all of that really well. The wired fast charge on the OP range is awesome, as is Oxygen OS, cleanest Android experience I've had outside of CyanogenMod itself on rooted phones (used Samsung, HTC, Pixel etc). EDIT: had the phone a few months, and whilst it does out perform the OP3, that's expected from the hardware. There's some niggles and OS updates haven't fixed them. When auto rotate is disabled, opened apps still sometimes flip the screen, and it won't flip back - have to enable rotation, flip and disable again. The ambient light sensor is poor in low or mixed lighting conditions, have to manually increase the brightness. LED alerts are bigger miss than I thought, you sometimes need to unlock the phone to see if a WhatsApp message has arrived, when sound is muted. Still an OK phone for the price - battery lasts well and charges fast. Bluetooth connection has been solid and sound is clear. The OS is swift and clean. I haven't experienced these kind of issues on other hardware, and I'll think twice before going with an OP again. The OH went with the Samsung and hasn't regretted it.

For this price, this phone performs really, really well. The camera is very decent (not the best but still very good) the build quality is on point and the phone is also surprisingly light. The battery life is also very impressive getting you 6-8 hours of screen time, if not longer (depending on how you use the phone) and of course the charger is also super fast. The under screen fingerprint reader also responds pretty quickly, and have not had a misread so far, so very impressed with that. Phone size is also good for small/medium hands to use one handed for most things. Overall, very much liking this phone, it's fast cheap and has a long battery life, nothing more to ask from it.

Had the Nord for a couple of days now, very impressive piece of kit, I haven't pushed it with heavy games but for browsing, social media and everything else we use our phones for these days it has been a breeze, I've struggled to make it stutter even slightly, the 90hz display makes everything look and feel smooth and battery life has been impressive even with 90hz enabled, I'm sure it would be even better limiting it to 60hz (OnePlus let's you limit it to 60hz of course) but I haven't felt the need to, when you think of how you get 2 years of OS updates and an additional year of security updates after that for the price it becomes a no brainer, the supplied case is the nicest bundled case I've ever received with any phone too, even has a dust flap to keep dust out of the USB C port, only negative is the lack of headphone jack but for me I've been looking at going wireless anyway

Wanted to stay on my cheap contract, found this as a decently priced mid-range option and hasn't disappointed. Fingerprint scanner works fine, processor is good for day-to-day apps, media streaming, and the games I've tried (nothing too demanding tested tho). Screen quality is perfect and the camera takes decent pics. You can see the specs in the listing: essentially I just want to confirm that they're accurate, do what you'd expect and the build quality and battery are great. It's lasted a year and I'd be surprised if it didn't last at least one more.

This would have been OnePlus's comeback to the flagship killer business wasn't it for the flawed software! I usually spend days researching the best and most sensate purchase, and OP Nord is the absolute right choice on paper. I just forgot to look at the official forums, where the party ends. Let's point out the wins first: Battery: really good, gets you to the end of the day above 60% (+1h screen time). Warp charging is impressive and will get you to 80% in no time at all. Fingerprint reader: very fast and well positioned Cameras: Both front cameras are really good and useful, main rear camera isexceptionally good for a mid range phone (a lot better than iPhone SE 2 on a back to back comparison). The rear wide angle is still above average, but the other 2 are simply useless - the macro lens is just terrible, and the depth camera does absolutely nothing. Screen: Too big to my standards, but sharp and really fast at the 90Hz setting - it makes quite a huge difference. The double punch hole isn't offensive to the eye, and will hide itself if you use the right wallpaper. No wireless charging, IP rating, or stereo speakers, but that would be more than fine for the price tag, if it wasn't for one massive software bug that has been reported in OnePlus forums for over a month now. There seems to be an issue with the WiFi module: after a couple of minutes the screen goes off (or you lock it), the phone loses internet connectivity completely - this means no push notifications like Whatsapp, Facebook, etc. Whatsapp calls ring indefinitely on the other side of the line while the phone rests absolutely clueless. Whatsapp Web connection drops just a couple of minutes after the screen is off. Everything works perfecly on 4G/5G, but ceases to function on WiFi, which proves it's not Whatsapp or Facebook's issue, but rather something in the WiFi module energy management. A sad end for the Nord, and hopefully a nice chance for the Pixel 4a.

After last update 5G became unavailable. Many people complained about it too. It is not clear if and when the manufacturer will resolve the issue.

I replaced my phone finally for the first time in years and it was a really great update! The color is beautiful, the storage is great, and it works well.

IN2003 Model, works in Australia. Great phone, better than Samsung A51. Smooth, fast and all that I love OnePlus for. I still have a working OnePlus 2. Had USB C two years before Samsung. Great company, great phones.
