I love this duvet insert. I was a bit nervous considering the past reviews but It is exactly what I needed. It's lightweight, fluffy, and super warm. I would say this is a decent choice for a year-round insert because it keeps you warm but not too hot for Summer nights.IMPORTANT: When your duvet arrives-make sure to take It out of the box and lay It out flat on your bed for a few hours. This helped it to "fluff" up and remove all the creases and folds from being packed during shipping. Then make sure to secure It properly inside of your duvet cover and voila! I feel like its gotten fluffier and comfier everday that I've used it. Will post an update after my first wash.

I’m a total and complete bedding snob. I can’t sleep unless everything is just right. I can’t stand having weight on me when I sleep, and need my blankets cloud light. I always use soft, fluffy down comforters and love them, but I sleep with my dogs and have to wash them often. I’ve had a couple get punctures and explode down in the dryer, and the last time almost started a dryer fire. So, I’m no longer using down and needed to find an equally light, cloud soft alternative. Everything I tried that said lightweight felt like it was smothering me. Finally started looking at the actual weight of the blanket when shopping, and this was the lightest one I could find. I’m thrilled to report I finally have an alternative to my beloved down comforters! It’s incredibly light… like I can barely feel any weight on me. It’s not sewn with one giant sheet of filling making it stiff. It’s individual pockets seems filled separately which gives it that goose down movement. It’s quiet. No crinkling. Even without a nice duvet cover it’s still soft enough to just sleep with if you want. I hate being too warm when I sleep, and this has been keeping me nice and comfortable. It’s perfect for sleepers who want a soft, lightweight comforter with no restriction in your movement. I just ordered a second one as a backup because I love it so much.

I was looking for a lightweight, down alternative comforter that wouldn't be too hot for my boyfriend but would be warm enough for me. This is absolutely perfect for us. It's been about 5 nights now and we both love it! Super soft material (no noise) and the fill is evenly distributed. Heat distribution is perfect too. It's warm but not so hot that you have to kick it off in the middle of the night. We have a cali king and the king size comforter fits perfectly.
