This part fits as advertised and works correctly. If you find your vacuum cleaner frequently has a broken drive belt, it's likely due to a bent or misshapen brush roller. Remove the old one, rotate it by hand, if there is any resistance at any point in it's rotation, chances are it is overheating and breaking the drive belt. Most would simply replace the vacuum, but a new brush roller for a modest amount and a new drive belt fixes the problem. Since electric motors last a long time, chances are this simple fix will provide you with many more years of happy vacuuming, cheaply. Recommended.

This was the correct part for my daughter’s vacuum. It wasn’t too hard to install and I did it myself. After installing, the vacuum worked again and was much quieter. Very satisfying to not add to landfill waste and to not have to replace the whole vacuum!

In our throwaway society, I hate spending money on a NEW item when you can keep maintenance and reuse the item. We have daycares and have a specific Bissell vacuum we buy. Sometimes parts do wear out. I try to clean these vacuums, at least twice a year, and have some vacs we've been using for at least five years. When we have a broke part, it's tear down time again and replace the part and they keep on going. It may take an hour to clean, wash everything, replace parts, and put back together, but it is worth-it. Bissell replacements and after market parts are great!
