SILCA Mattone Bike Saddle Bag with BOA Closure - Standard .5 L

Great bag! Fits nicely under your seat, not bulky at all and seals up very nicely. Pretty easy access (need to unstrap under 1 rail), stuff stays in place due to the compartmentalization and the BOA makes it very easy and tight to your seat. Very durable too, Silca makes quality products. Not the cheapest on the market but here you get what you pay for. It's a great solution if what you want to carry is a bit limited, otherwise you might want to consider a larger bag like the Mattone Grande.

The small is perfect for my needs. Figured I’d post this here since I had a bit on anxiety about whether or not to buy the small vs. the large. With the small I’m able to perfectly fit a ridenow TPU tube, 2x tire levers, Topeak mini tool and a cycplus AS2 Pro with the stem adapter. It all tucks neatly behind my seat.

I really hate long drawn out reviews. I recently purchased a Specialized S Works, Tarmac with bolt in axles. I did not want to damage below the dropouts when removing the front wheel for a flat repair the bicycle must be inverted to service it in the field. The problem with this was with a traditional seat bag you need to remember to grab all the items for the repair prior to turning the bike over as it makes it very difficult to retrieve them. The silica bag appeared perfect when the bike is inverted. You can open the pack and look directly into the pouch at all your tools. You can then retrieve tools as you need them and quickly return the items back to the Silica bag when completing the repair. I especially liked the high contrast red interior, which made it very easy to view my items. I purchased the larger of the two versions and was surprised at how many items it held. You can definitely fit at least two butyl 700x23 inner tubes, two tire levers, two co2 with full size tire inflator, and a multi tool with room to spare. If you still like to carry your items in a seat bag, I would definitely consider one of the silica bags.

I was conflicted by all of the reviews on the two sizes of this bag, so I ordered them both. They run a 700 x 30 tire. My current set up is tubeless, but I need to carry a tube just in case. When I attempted to put my 30 MM tube into the smaller size, it basically took up 90% of the space. There is no way on earth. Anybody is putting a larger tube in that small pack and putting much else in there. I just want you to be aware when you see the demonstrations and people talking about tubes, just assume most people are running smaller tubes probably 23 or 25 mm. The good news is that the larger pack is not really that big. I was able to put my tube, two CO2 cartridges, multi tool, tire, levers, and a few other things. It is very compact and sit nicely up under the seat. Sitting high under the sea, it was my other requirement for a new bag. I have been using a Garmin Varia radar detector off my seat post, and so many of the bags tend to fall down or slide down on top of it. This bag is extremely compact, and really fits and locks and placed nicely. I would highly recommend it, but just beware of the size as I think it’s a little misleading, and thus, the four stars.

The quality feels great and it’s very practical for both short and long rides. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it 100% to any cyclist looking for a compact but spacious tool bag.

Great saddle bag. Holds one spare tube, two tire levers, one patch kit, one multitool, and one spare SRAM etap battery. Compact and sleek, with no movement while riding.

Favorite saddle bag, this is my second for my second bike. A little pricey but they last, work great, and are easy use. Had a friend buy a no name brand, saved a couple bucks, but lost $50 in tools and gear when it opened during a ride. I have never had an issue with this bag. When I get a third bike, I will get another of this bag.

very good bag, big size allowing to take all needed (electric pum, tubes...) , Boa close system very very efficient. bag don't move at all (SMP seat).

This is a great saddle bag. It fits a lot, it’s snug, and it attaches to the rails without rocking back-n-forth. It looks sleek too!
