Would give five stars, if not for the typos
Unfortunately, this edition is replete with typos and errors, some of which can be extremely annoying, like when a solution to a problem uses a problem statement different than the one you were asked to solve (e.g. p. 298, frame 43-44. exercise c).

The only math book that you need to have.
Excellent book that covers since the most basics subjects until the most advanced in very paced and friendly way. Lots of exercises! Most likely this is the only math book that you will need to fulfill your requirements. Strongly recommended!

Good Review and Introduction to Engineering Math
This is a very good textbook for reviewing engineering mathematics and learning how to solve problems systematically. Aside from a few typos, this is a very good textbook. Highly recommend!

Firstly this is a tome not a book (3kg)but it has gotten me through some difficult parts of my modules and expanded my knowledge massively. I find the instructions easy to follow and its laid out with common sense. That being said you do need an understanding of at least GCSE maths as this is A-level to bachelors level degree year 3 in engineering. Definately worth the £40-50 considering you are spending thousands on your education. There is an Advanced Engineering Mathematics for levels after this which is more expensive, but probably essential too. If you are struggling to get through on maths, this is a must buy.

A must have for anyone who want to understand and apply mathematics from a practical point of view. I used this book when I was a student and I still use it as an engineer to refresh few concepts when I need them. I always find what I want in it. The explanations are crystal clear and the examples always relevant. The best mathematics book ever written.

Basically, this is a good book. It has everything an engineer needs. I already learned it, but I forget, and this book helps a lot to remember. It has lots of exercises where you can check your level and also what you do not understand.
