Keep in mind the fan clutch net is reverse-threaded so Right to loosen and Left to tighten. The special tools are for holding the clutch in place and to remove the nut and fan. No sealant was necessary as the part comes with the black rubber gasket installed. Took me about 1hr & 45 minutes from start to finish. Very good quality, fit like the original, works well, a very good value. I could not tell the new one from the old one except for the old one being coated in grease and dirt. Hopefully this will solve random boil-over problems on a 2002 E46 with 190k miles on the odometer.
