Love, love
Love, love, love - Such a joy reading a new volume about Takeo and Yamato. This volume is a little more laid back, no pivotal moment for the couple. Instead, the book focuses on Valentine's Day and Takeo's mother finally has the baby. In Japan the tradition is that on Feb. 14 girls give chocolate to guys that they like, then on March 14 is White Day in which boys give chocolate back to every girl who gave them chocolate. This year Takeo is sooooo excited that he will be getting his first ever "true love" chocolate now that he has a girlfriend instead of sympathy chocolate like the one he has received from an elderly neighbour since he was a little boy. A great sweet episode with some funny and poignant moments. I love Takeo's mother; she's one tough cookie! Finally, a few moments near the end leave us with a surprise ending that Sunakawa has had a secret admirer for quite some time who actually intrigues him and Takeo may have just found out their identity! Highly recommend this series to shoujo fans who love simple, sweet slice-of-life stories.

Adorable and hilarious
~4/5 (Contains light spoilers.) In the midst of Takeo freaking out over his kiss with Yamato, his mother is getting farther along in her pregnancy. And when Takeo’s mother starts getting bigger and continues doing everything around the house, he freaks out about that. And when she starts having contractions, he really freaks out. Suna ends up taking control, calmly telling Takeo what to do. It’s all very sweet, really. And when she finally has the baby, she’s adorable and Takeo is the best big brother. I do have to say, though, that I felt it a little weird that his mother was at the hospital alone? Takeo and Suna and Yamato and Takeo’s father check on her several times, but they’re not there constantly, and Takeo’s father goes to work at some point. They are at the hospital, in the waiting room, when she has the baby, though. Then it’s Valentine’s Day. A group of them go out together, and Takeo has expectations for chocolate, excited and trying to love whatever Yamato gives him, and it’s all adorable. Takeo’s expressions during these chapters in particular are hilarious and adorable. Then we’re left off with the possibility of a new girl in love with Suna. This series is adorable and hilarious and I love it. I can’t wait for the next one. [More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]

This was a very very good volume and excited to read more!!
Man, if I had ANY complaint about this volume, it's that I can't remember all the hilarious expressions Takeo makes and wish I could! LOL! There were SOOOO many funny ones in this one that I couldn't stop laughing and would have to stop reading for a moment so I could calm down and focus! LOL! Aruko is SUCH a great artist and really makes Takeo shine (literally and figuratively)! However, the first half of this volume was REALLY intense! I think I read half the manga in a good 30 minutes, (which is really rare for me) but I could NOT put it down!! I think this is the first time we see Takeo feel afraid/nervous and made me all the more thankful for Suna and Yamato being there to stand by him. I truly felt how things were like a whirlwind for Takeo and was SO relieved everything was okay in the end!! I especially loved seeing how happy everyone was, including Suna and Yamato! <3 We got SOOOOOO much Suna and Takeo this volume and I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!! Their friendship is GOLD and love how Suna laughs around Takeo and how much Takeo cares for Suna. It was really awesome seeing the roles reversed where Takeo wants the same happiness he has but wants it for Suna. (The whole conversation about who Suna would date was sweet, but also really really funny!) The Valentine/White Day arcs(?) were SUPER awesome! I loved the White Day one especially because Takeo's gift was so meaningful! Not that Yamato's wasn't, but Takeo's gift really gave him a new appreciation for all that Yamato does, and really liked that. <3 Lastly, I like how the parents are involved and how great they are! (And funny! Definitely can't miss saying that! LOL!) This was a very very good volume and excited to read more!!
