Buy now, you can hear the audible anywhere.
My son flys quads or drones, and he uses this to time his flights. He also cooks, lot's, so...he is constantly using this for his cooking and grilling that he loves to do. I am always hearing the audible countdown, and it's used every day, pretty much. Came fast. Works great, the price is outstanding. A must buy for time keepers.

Cheaply made
Worked great for a month then the numbers didn’t work. Changed batteries. Didn’t fix it. Not worth the money

I purchased this as a reminder tool to help my children take shorter showers. Unfortunately, the beep and voice reminders are too quiet to be heard over the sound of the running water. We had a previous version (maybe different brand?) of the talking timer that had different sound levels so I thought this one would be louder. I haven't found a way to make it louder so I guess it will become a homework timer and I'll have to continue to be the shower reminder.

Great R/C airplane/quadcopter flight timer.
Excellent for timing FPV radio-controlled aircraft flights, for cooking eggs, or anything else that requires a verbal countdown, followed by an audio alert. My only complaint with it is that in order to set something like 5 minutes 45 seconds, you have to press the "minutes" button 5 times, then the "seconds" button 45 times. Each and every time you press a set button, the voice says what you just set. So setting an alarm is kind of a noisy process. Other than that, it works great. The current battery has lasted well over a year so far, and I use this timer at least three or four times each week for an hour at a time.

Way too quiet. I bought it to use in the shower because I get distracted easily and with brand new batteries I can't hear the voice over the sound of the water, even though it was in the shower with me. I also tried it in the kitchen and if the sink water is running I can't hear it, even when it was just a few feet away. I checked and it was definitely set as loud as it could go. Would only work as a study tool if it's kept at your computer in a quiet space. In that respect, I think the layout, set up and interface are good. After trying a few different options and I realized it wasn't going to work for me, I reached out to the company but it was past the 30 day mark so they would not take it back. I wish companies realized that poor word of mouth is more detrimental than being lenient on policy to favor of good customer service. Thumbs down on the product and the company.

Great
Pro- clock mode functions as a "lock" feature for the timer, so you don't lose settings- has a count-up feature as well as a count-down feature- good volume, is non-adjustable but you can physically muffle or mute it- compact size fits in a small shirt pocket, no large parts stick out- uses button batteries, so it's not as bulky or heavy as a standard kitchen timer- button panel is level with the case and requires a deliberate push to use, thus preventing accidental presses while it's in your pocket- articulated button panel prevents dirt and oil from accumulating in the case, and is easy to clean- has a good screen, but you don't need to look at it to use the product- case has a silky cream finish, doesn't look or feel like ordinary kitchen timers- has a variety of distinctive sounds to help you identify it or jog your memory for what it's reminding you to do, but for me these are unescessary because I can remember why I set the timer and the voice countdown is conspicuous enough on its own. It would be nice to be able to disable alerts independently of disabling the voice.- it won't crash or hang, and it has no idea what the Internet is- female voice won't break your concentration and is a true companionCon- it does not remember the previous timer setting, you have to re-enter it each time- the batteries it arrived with were already corroding. I threw them out immediately and replaced them with fresh LR44 cells- the count-up feature is non-intuitive. Pressing "start" when the timer is at zero doesn't start it. You have to press "clear" then "sec" then "start", wait a second, then "clear" and it will count up. This is not written in the instructions.- the magnet is covered by smooth plastic and it doesn't stick to things very well. This is OK for me because I rarely use it and prefer it not to rub in my pocket- you can't change the announcement intervals, there is no option to have clock time announced automatically, there are no daily alarms, it's capped at 23:59 minutes, and it doesn't support multiple timers, multiple voices, or automatically repeating timers. These would be nice features to add in the future, but they aren't deal-breakers for me, and some of these can be achieved by buying a second unit and using it together (for example by setting one to count-up, and another to count-down, it'd be easy to tell which is which because the voice appends the word "over" to the announcement when it is counting up)

Good but could be louder.
I like the timer but the volume is softer than other timers I have purchased.

MUST BUY
Our new son always lost track of time when he was showering in the mornings, like 30-40 minutes or I would have to constantly be on him to keep moving. I bought this so it would hold him accountable for his time and I didn't have to keep knocking on the door to keep moving. When you set the alarm for over 15 minutes it will only remind every 5 minutes. For example, 20 minutes remaining.... 15 minutes remaining.... 10 minutes remaining.... after 10 it reminds every minute... the alarm will sound when the time is up but will tell the person that they are 1 minute over... 2 minutes over... etc...
